I belong to the Stamper's X-press group, which has its own blog. When I saw Kelly Gettelfinger's post about a Peek-a-Boo card, I went upstairs and made one right then. Because we share demo info, the blog is only available to demonstrators. But good news! If you join my team, you can be part of my group and several other groups. Plus, you'll have access to the Stamper's X-press blog.

*Certain restrictions apply; see your demonstrator for details.

So what are you waiting for? Head over here and join my team today!

    Peek-a-Boo Card:

This is the Peek-a-Boo card I made. I used sneak peek items Something for Baby stamp set and Baby's First framelits, which I got as a bundle.

I also used some retiring items: Peekaboo Frames Die (25% off), Tasteful Trim Die (25% off), Cuddles and Kisses stamp set (40%0ff), Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper (DSP), and 3/16" Corner Punch (25% off)

Current items: Petite Pairs stamp set, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Punches: 1/2", 3/4", and 1 1/4"

No longer available: Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine
When you pull the tag/Baker's Twine, it pulls over and opens up to reveal the hidden messages (hence the name Peek-a-Boo).
     This gives another view.
Here's how I finished the inside:
I don't know how many times I've thought, I can't believe Stampin' Up! is getting rid of that! This is true of several items on today's card. I'm glad I've got everything off the retired list that I want, but it's too bad I can't use the items in classes anymore. This would be a great card to show my stampers!

On the bright side, I'm excited about all the new products! Less than a week until the new catalog goes live!!

TSSC 316 - Six Sided Sampler

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of the brave service men and women who have risked everything to keep our country safe. And a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you!

Here's my card for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. My first attempt didn't quite go as planned. Hmmm? Sounds familiar. :) I ended up with a card I liked, but it didn't match the sketch and it wasn't what I meant to do. Not to mention I was pretty darn frustrated with the ribbon pleating. I was not doing it again for my second attempt! I went with a button instead. Maybe I'll share the first card later this week after I have a chance to photograph it.

Supplies:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Cardstock: Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Gingham Garden
Ink: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight

Here's this week's sketch:

Link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

Golf Spinner Card

I have to say, I absolutely love the projects we'll be making in class on Tuesday (5/27). I've CASEd two of them, so it's not like I'm bragging too much. ;) I did put my own spin on them, though.

I got this idea from Lynn Starzl, another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. It's a circle spinner card. I haven't made one of these in years. It was fun to do again. And with Father's Day coming up, this was the perfect card. Speaking of perfect, I have a retired set with a stamp that says, "Hope your day is par-fect". Figured it would be "par-fect" for the inside of the card.

The golf ball spins around the hole. How cute is that? If you check out Lynn's card, you can see how I changed it. I put the grass and tee at the bottom and put a flag in the hole.

As you can see in this picture, the golf ball even has dimples. They were made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I just used the debossed side.

Supplies:

Stamps: Project Life Day to Day
Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, Naturals Ivory, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso
Big Shot: Circles Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Woodgrain Embossing Folder (on tee)
Tools: Fringe Scissors, Petite Pennants Builder (flag - cut end off), 1 3/8” Circle Punch (golf ball), Build a Blossom (for tee), Sponge Daubers (to darken/shadow inside of hole)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. If you try one of these, put a link in my comments. I'd love to see it!

Not a stamper or not enough time? I will make this card for you to give to a golfer in your life for $5 (includes high quality Stampin' Up! envelope).  Contact me for details.

Also, there's still room in Tuesday's class – 1:00pm or 6:30pm. The other projects are another masculine card and a gift card wallet. See details here. Let me know by 5:00pm Monday if you'd like to come.

Endless Birthday Wishes - New Set

Stampin' Up! has introduced a new photopolymer set called Endless Birthday Wishes.

Here's an excerpt from the Stampin' Up! blog (including the first two pictures):

I’m excited to share our newest photopolymer set, Endless Birthday Wishes (Item# 137553), which includes some of my handwritten words and drawings. It’s similar to the set we offered for the holidays last year called Endless Wishes. The concept is that you can build lots of different birthday greetings (and more) by combining the handwritten words with typed words and phrases. And with photopolymer stamps, grouping words and phrases together is simple.

Here's a picture of the set. As you can see, there are lots of great words for a birthday, plus a cute, little cake and some dots (which are always good for adding a little background interest). This set isn't limited to birthdays. You could put these words and phrases together for all kinds of occasions.

Just a reminder - photopolymer stamps are only available while supplies last.

Happy Hour Birthday

Here's a birthday card I made using the Stampin' Up! set, Happy Hour. The DSP, Birthday Basics, is retiring. It's on sale for $7.67 (while supplies last).

Supplies:

Stamps: Happy Hour
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Basics
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray
Other: Crystal Effects (to make wine glasses shiny)

Inside I used a couple of sentiments from Happy Hour:

Any hour spent with you is HAPPY HOUR!

and

Here's to you on your birthday!

I also cut out one of the hats and put it in the bottom corner. I like doing stuff like that to dress up the inside of a card.

This card is also an entry for the Late Night Stampers Challenge 249 since I used the Crystal Effects on the wine glasses.

Retired List Blowout Sale!! Begins today!! Shop here. Use hostess code 32D39NF2 for thank you gift!

Today I want to feature the work of a fellow member of the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge Design Team - Tanya Bell. I had discovered Tanya's blog long before we ever started on the design team together. She is very talented and has a great blog with lots of tutorials. Check it out here.

I think the Pop-N-Cuts Dies are so cool and I'm sad to see them retire. But, good news for you - the Pop-N-Cuts Card Base, Pop-N-Cuts Label InsertPop-N-Cuts Dress Form, and Dress Up Framelits Dies have all been marked down as part of the Retired List Blowout Sale!

Tanya has made some awesome projects with the Pop-N-Cuts line, so I'd like to share some of them with you today.

Love how she used the Floral Frames Framelits to make the rug and cute DSP to make a polka dotted dress.

Wow! Who would have thought of this? Clever!
Stampin' Up! Stamping T! - Colour Me Christmas Pop up Card Open
My daughter loves minions, so I had to include this.
And check out this gift box. Tanya has a video tutorial if you want to try making one.

See what I mean? Isn't she talented? I highly recommend you take some time to peruse Tanya's blog. While you're there, be sure to leave a comment to let her know you appreciate her work (and let her know I sent you). While you're at it - how about a comment on one of my posts? We bloggers love comments. It lets us know you like what we're sharing.

If you want to see more items made with the Pop-N-Cuts dies, I have created a Pinterest Board and already found many items to pin.

TSSC 315 Happy Hour

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Happy Hour. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. It also works for the Late Night Stampers Challenge to use Crystal Effects.

Here's a close up of the drink. I used Crystal Effects to get it so shiny. I think it makes the glass look more like a glass. It's got a little spot where I touched it before it was dry. Otherwise it would be smooth. You can't see it so much on the card. It's just very noticeable since it's enlarged.

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!
Link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

You can see the LNS Challenge entries here. Maybe you'll want to make an entry that works for both challenges like I did.

Check back tomorrow for the new Weekly Deals! Still time to get this week's specials. Order Online or contact me about a group order.

Speaking of the Weekly Deals - be sure to check out yesterday's post to see several ideas using Epic Day DSP, which is on the sale through today.

Epic Day Bonanza

Yesterday was the Epic Day class, so in honor of it, I have an epic post. And just as a reminder - Epic Day DSP is on the Weekly Deals list this week (ends Monday at 11:50pm MT).

On the left, MC (standing) is using the Big Shot. I had tables set up for creating and then different stations around the room - Big Shot, Punches, Stamps, and Cutting. I also had out ink, markers, and other tools (Simply Scored, Envelope Punch Board, etc.).

Next:  the group (clockwise - Sherri, Karen O., Karen W., and MC) working away. Everyone got a pack of supplies and then used those supplies to create whatever they felt like making. Partway through we took a break and had some snacks before returning to our crafting. Thanks, Sherri, for the bagels.

Here are the cards made by Karen and MC O'Connell (first) and Sherri Calhoun (second group). I had many samples out for them to follow, but they also made some original designs. The coffee cup card is by MC and in the bottom right of Sherri's pile is one she designed with the stamp set Happy Hour. Yes, they made all these cards - and still took home a pile of supplies so they can make even more.

Karen Waller did some scrapbooking. She made several pages, but this 2 page spread is the only one I got pictures of. She CASEd a layout I had, but put her own spin on it. I loved the details she stamped for the page (some shown under the pages). I particularly liked the way she cut out the Happy Birthday banner.

Here are some cards that I made yesterday.

I used Happiest Birthday Wishes, By The Tide, and By The Seashore on this first one. It took a long time to cut the crab so close (especially since I did a quicker cut with a border first and since it didn't look right did the more time consuming close cut). It's worth it, though, because it's my brother's birthday card.

I've also shown a close up of the crab, which I popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals, and a picture of the inside.
I used By The Tide for this card. I've included a close up of the fish so you can see how shiny it is. After coloring the fish, I covered it with Crystal Effects. It dries shiny like this.

Here's a card using Epic Day Washi Tape and the Oh, Hello stamp set.
Here are a couple more cards. I actually had the pieces already cut for the card on the left. They were leftover from when I made the TSSC 312 card. I just figured out how I wanted to use them. The card on the right was made awhile ago, but it goes with the theme, so I've included it.
Told you it was an epic post! 14 pictures. Hope you found some good inspiration in today's post. If you were at the class - thanks for coming! If you missed the class - be on the lookout for the next one. You won't want to miss it - lots of projects and even more fun!!
