Best of Autumn Sampler - Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I'm taking a break from highlighting sale items so I can wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving (though it turns out there is one sale item featured below - the gold ink).  While I'm counting my blessings today, I want each of  you to know that I am very thankful for all of my customers and for everyone who follows me on my blog and on my Facebook page.

Here are several cards made with the Best of Autumn set.

The leaves were stamped with the gold ink. The brackets were made with the Curly Label Punch.  The idea to stamp the leaves in gold on four squares came from a blog called Inspiration Ink.  I came up with the idea for the brackets myself, though I wouldn't be surprised to find out someone else has done it, too.

I love making cards with leaves in various Fall colors.  The labels were made with the Curly Label Punch and the Petite Curly Label Punch.
I actually saw the idea for the next two cards on another blog (Stamp and Scrap With Frenchie).  The square was made by inking an acrylic block and stamping with it.  On the first one, I cut out the leaf and used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it on the green square.
On this one I stamped the leaf directly on the green square.
This last picture isn't a card, but I still want to share the idea with you.  Look how beautiful this leaf looks stamped with gold and then mounted on gold foil.  The gold foil sheets from the Holiday Catalog really make the image pop.
I hope you've enjoyed all of these cards and I hope that you all have a very happy Thanksgiving.

TSSC 285 - Fall Card

Here's my card for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge:
The leaves are from Best of Autumn.  I am really loving that set.  The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from Tags 4 You (which is available in a bundle with the coordinating punch).  I like that with one set you can cover 4 holidays.  The corners were rounded with the Envelope Punch Board, which gave me a different radius on the edges than if I had used the Corner Rounder Punch.

Cardstock:  Naturals Ivory, Chocolate Chip
Ink Colors:  Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze

Here is the sketch:
I needed a masculine Thinking of You card right after I made my sketch challenge card.  I realized that the card I'd just made would be perfect.  So, I re-did it and just changed the sentiment.
Hope you'll play along this week.  You can see the sketch (and design team samples) and link your sample here.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

TSSC 284 Best of Autumn

I know many of you enjoy seeing these weekly challenge cards.  Do you use the sketch to inspire you to make a project?  If so, be sure to link it to the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site.  Not sure how to do it if you don't have a blog?  Leave a comment on this post and I'll give you instructions.

I used the stamp set Best of Autumn.  For the sentiment, I used a Stampin' Write Marker to just color part of the Give Thanks stamp.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.

Here's the sketch.  You'll notice my card is a little different.  That's because I tried to do it from memory instead of having the sketch close by for referral.  I'm okay with that.  I like how it turned out and really, the sketch is just for inspiration.

You can see the rest of the design team samples at the TSSC site.  But you also can see them on each person's blog.  While you're there, you can check out some of their other work.
