NC Demos October Blog Hop

NC Demos October Blog Hop

Hi friends! Welcome to another month of the NC Stampin' Up! Demos Blog Hop. Sometimes it's hard to think what you might do with a stamp set and you want to have ideas before you get it. So this month we are showing you multiple ideas with the same set or bundle. I love background stamps but sometimes have trouble using them, so I chose the background stamp Postscript for my stamp set today. Hopefully my ideas will get you jumpstarted using your background stamps.

First, let me apologize for the photo quality. I was limited in my set up and with the blog hop deadline nearing, I made due with what I had. The shadows sometimes make things look crooked or background pieces seem unevenly sized, but I assure you they are not. Hopefully you can look past all that and still spark your creativity.

My first project is a birthday card. The background is the Postscript stamp in Gray Granite ink on Sahara Sand cardstock. It is mounted on a Basic Black base. Life's a Journey... is from One Wild Ride. It and the Happy Birthday, which is from Lemon Zest, are also stamped in Gray Granite. Both pieces are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The tire tracks and dirt marks are stamped with Memento Black ink. Those stamps are from One Wild Ride.

Here's the inside of the card. The sentiment is also from One Wild Ride.

My next project is a diaper fold treat holder. I am a big fan of these. They are unique but super simple to make. It is made from a 4.25" x 4.25" piece of Petal Pink cardstock. I stamped it with the Postscript stamp and Balmy Blue ink. The flower on the Whisper White tag is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the sentiment is from Botanical Bliss. I put a Basic Pearl in the center of the flower. The label is  popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

It is a little pouch and you can fill it with anything. This one is a little smaller than I normally make, but it still holds a mini Twix nicely.

My last project is a bookmark. I used the Botanical Tags Thinlets to make the base of the bookmark. On the layer, I stamped Postscript with Blueberry Bushel ink. I also smudged a little of the ink on the background to grunge it up a bit. I stamped each word using the Labeler Alphabet set. I rubbed the edge of each piece on the ink pad to highlight the words. The word BOOKS I rubbed on my Crushed Curry pad and mounted it on a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock to make it stand out. Each word is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added some Whisper White Baker's Twine out the top for fun.

Thank you for joining us on the blog hop. Next up is Anita Trippi with 3 ideas for another product.
