Colorful Seasons Fall Card

Flash Sale on Monday, 11/27/17 (midnight to 11:59pm, MT). FREE SHIPPING on your whole order! Everything included, no limits. Please use hostess code MNVA2YN7.

I love Fall cards with colorful leaves and this one is no exception. The leaves were die cut with the Seasonal Layers Framelits, which are part of the Colorful Seasons bundle and the background was embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Both techniques require the Big Shot.

The pennant was hand cut and then stamped with words from Thoughtful Banners. I chose this saying because I was making the card for someone specific and this is the message I wanted for her. When we made this card in club, most of the stampers chose sayings related to the season. Stampin' Up! has lots of great sets with sayings, so there are plenty of options.

The Gold Satin Ribbon was on the Clearance List when this was a club project. It appears to be gone now. I think the Burlap Ribbon would look good in it's place. It would give it a more rustic feel.

To shape the leaves, I folded them in half from left to right and then folded them back and forth from top to bottom, like a fan. After I opened them, I re-folded any lines that were not creased enough. You can also use your bone folder to create the "veins" of the leaves. If you use the bone folder, it will look more precise than my method.

Remember, FREE shipping on Monday, 11/27/17, so it's the perfect time to get the supplies to make this card.

Camping Adventure

I have two similar cards for you today, both using Always An Adventure (retiring). They are both Clean and Simple (CAS) cards, but the first one is moreso. The sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners. On the tent, I just colored the white parts with my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker.

This second card is stepped up a bit - not much, but a little. I added clouds and a few more trees. I made different color and different style trees. I also used the coordinating Outdoor Adventure framelits (retiring) to cut a tree and layer it over some others.

The Always an Adventure stamp set and  Outdoor Adventure framelits are also available as a bundle for 10% savings when you buy them both. These items are all retiring when the catalog retires.

Thoughtful Banners is not retiring, but through the end of the catalog period it is available as part a bundle with a coordinating punch. The stamps and the punch are both available in the new annual catalog. They just will no longer be available as a bundle.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today I have two similar Mother's Day cards. If you are really behind, you can use one of these ideas for your Mother's Day card. Or, you can change the sentiment in the oval and use them for just about any occasion. The sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners which has 53 stamps, over 40 of which are words or phrases that can be mixed and matched to make the sentiment you want.

The fancy die cut on the front of both cards is done with the Big Shot and Detailed Floral Thinlts. These dies are available as a bundle with a coordinating stamp set through May 31. The ovals are cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

The background on the front oval and inside the card is done with a stamp from Flourishing Phrases. The sentiment is also from Flourishing Phrases. The stamps are kind of hard to see in the photo, but can easily be read in person. The top one says, "I think it more often than I say it, but I just want to make sure you know it" and underneath, "I love you."

Here's the second card. For this one, I cut the die cut at the edge of the card and as you can see in the next picture, put a a strip of Night of Navy on the inside of the card so it shows through the die cut. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the front panel is Floral Boutique. Sadly, it was on the retiring list and has sold out. That's why you don't want to delay getting your retiring items. You could use the Flourishing Phrases stamp from above to fill in the panel.

The inside of this card has the same sentiment as the other card, which I love for Mother's Day. Flourishing Phrases is full of great sentiments and phrases and I really like the font. Check the set out below.

See what I mean about it being a great set? It's also available with coordinating thinlits as a bundle through May 31.

Happy Easter - Window Box Style

HAPPY EASTER!

Today I have two projects I designed using the Window Box thinlits. We made the card last month in club. The basket is part of a die cut from the Window Box thinlints, basically half of the hexagon. The handle was cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits. The grass was cut using the retiring Fringe Scissors. The eggs were cut using a die from the retiring Pyramid Pals thinlits.

Happy Easter is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and is punched out with the Duet Banner punch. These two items are available in a bundle, which gives 10% savings over buying the items separately, but only until the catalog ends. Then the items will only be available to purchase separately.

Here is a basket I made with the Window Box thinlits. In addition to half of the hexagon, I also left on some of the flaps and extra parts. I used part of two die cuts which are cut down and then folded into the basket shape. The handle is just a 1/2 inch strip of cardstock. The grass in the basket was made with the retiring Fringe Scissors. This is a prototype I made about a month ago (hence the retired color cardstock). Originally I had planned to add a tag and maybe soem flowers ont he front, but I think it looks cute like this, too.

The Window Box framelits are currently available in a bundle with the Window Shopping stamp set. The framelits will still be available in the new catalog, but they'll no longer be available as a bundle.

NC SU Demos New Catalog Blog Hop

The NC Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators have another great Blog Hop for you this month.  Our theme is New Catalog (Anything Goes). Check out all the wonderful projects as you hop from blog to blog -- and don’t forget to leave some comments.

Remember, new catalog items are available June 1st. On the flip side - retiring items are only available through May 31, so make sure you have everything you want off the retiring list before it's gone. I'll be placing a group order on the 31st and on the 1st, so if you want to be a part of either, get me your order(s) by 5:00pm on the respective day. Or, order online using hostess code  BWH24ZES (unless your order is over $150 - then collect the hostess benefits for yourself). Be sure to allow contact so I can send you a thank you.

I only have one project for you this month. I made it for a shoebox swap for a demonstrator meeting I hosted last weekend. Sadly, I have not had much time to play with my new stuff (but even for demonstrators, sometimes that's how life is). When I get home from vacation I should have time to really get into the new stuff. In the meantime, check back later this week to see the other shoebox swap cards.

I may only have one project, but it features several new products. I've used three of the new In Colors – Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum. The left front panel is embossed with one of the two embossing folders included in the Floral Affection embossing folders pack. Live, laugh, love is from the new set Layering Love and die cut with the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits.  Oh, Happy Day is from the new set Thoughtful Banners which is available in a bundle with the Duet Banner Punch.

You can see this is a fun fold card. The background on Flirty Flamingo is embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder, which is a current product. I sponged over it lightly with Dapper Denim ink to make the bricks really stand out.

Next is a picture of the card as it is open. Celebrate is from Thoughtful Banners and stamped on a Sweet & Sassy die cut Sweet Sugarplum heart. The Whisper White panel is a place to write your message. I sponged a little around the edge to tie it in with the facing panel and added little hearts with a stamp from Layering Love.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out the blog hop. I invite you to follow me on Pinterest and Facebook.

Pam Staples is the next stamper in the blog hop. I am certain you will enjoy the projects she has to share. To view her Blog, you may click her name or the picture below.
