Eastern Medallions Sunflower

I love this sunflower made with the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. I've seen the idea on Pinterest and in my online demo groups. You may have, too. This is my take on the idea.

The sentiment and corner images are from the Eastern Beauty.

The petals are Crushed Curry, 2 pieces offset from one another. I came up with the idea for the center myself (disclaimer: that's not to say someone else didn't, too, but I haven't seen it). I cut Soft Suede cardstock with a scalloped framelit from the Layering Circle Framelits. Then I used the stylus from my Simply Scored board to stipple it. Using a sponge dauber, I lightly applied Early Espresso ink. Hopefully it looks like the seeds that are on the center part of a sunflower. What do you think? Did I succeed? Leave a comment and let me know.

Edit: Here's how I did the inside - a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the same two stamps in the corner as on the front. Simple, but it's a nice touch to finish off the card.

Happy Graduation

This is graduation weekend for our local schools, so I thought I'd share a graduation card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Guy Greetings, Timeless Textures, Number of Years (one of the background stamps)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (stamped off to get lighter images)
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White
Glimmer Paper: Gold and Silver
Big Shot: Stars framelits (retired, but perhaps you could use the star from the Wood Crate framelits or Mini Treat Bag thinlits), Large Numbers framelits

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, but there was no watermark or link to a blog or other identifying information, so I don't know who to give credit to.
