Punch Art Rattle

I think the hand prints and footprints in the Stampin' Up! set, Baby Prints, are so adorable! For this card I made a punch art rattle to go with the hand prints.

The rattle is just made with circle punches and a rectangle strip. I used the Big Shot to emboss the largest circle (top of the rattle) with the  Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I punched a strip of Whisper White card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch to decorate the rattle. To make the bottom of the handle, punch the smaller circle first and then center the bigger punch around the hole left by the first punch.

The sentiment, "welcome baby," is from Petite Pairs. I used the coordinating stamp, "so glad you're here," on the inside of the card.

I entered this card in the Late Nite Stampers Challenge.  The current theme is Punch Art.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Hope you're having a great weekend!

Baby Prints Feet

I know it doesn't seem like it, but believe it or not, some people still wait until the birth to find out whether they are having a boy or a girl.  My husband and I did, both times.  And yes, even though I seem really old to my kids, 19 years ago, when I was pregnant with my first, that technology was available (lol).
At times when you don't know the sex of the baby, green and yellow are always a safe choices.  In this case, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron.

The stamps are from Baby Prints and Petite Pairs.

Baby Prints Hand Prints

Here are a couple of cards using the Baby Prints stamp set.  Today's cards use the hand prints from the set.  The Designer Series Paper is Gingham Garden DSP.

 Colors:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Sentiment is from Baby Prints

We made this card in stamp club last month.  Since the card wasn't being made for a specific baby, we used yellow and green so the card could be used for a boy or a girl.

Colors:  So Saffron, Certainly Celery
Sentiment is from One in a Million

P.S.  If you're looking for the TSSC challenge, remember that it's going for two weeks this time.  This is a great one to participate in because Mary Jo is giving out blog candy!

Footprints in the Sand

Stamp club met yesterday and the evening before.  We had such a great time!  We always do!  Here's one of the cards we made:

I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Baby Prints, for this card.  The bottom of the card is Crumb Cake that has been lightly sponged (with a stampin' sponge) with Soft Suede ink (so it will look like sand).  The base of the card is Pool Party.  I used sponge daubers and Pacific Point ink to sponge in the ocean.  Then I sponged over it with Illuminate ink.  That's what makes it look sparkly.

I got the idea for this card here.   I mostly changed how I did the ocean and sky.

I like this card because it's a non-traditional use for this set (I also love it, 'cause I think it's a great card).  I love to use this set for baby cards, and it would be great for scrapbook pages, too.  But it's good to be able to use it for other things.  I feel like I get more bang for my buck that way.
