Seize the Cake!

This card features a couple of retiring items that you'll want to get before they are gone. Retiring items are available while supplies last, but no later than June 3.

The cake is from Well Worded (clear is regular price, but wood is discounted). Well Worded also has the mustache stamp that coordinates with the mustache framelit die which you may remember. The mustache die is also retiring and is half off - only $3.98! The Tangelo Twist 3/8" Satin Stitched Ribbon is soon to be gone since it too is half off - only $4.48! Sadly, all of these beautiful ribbons, available in the 2014-16 In Colors, are retiring.

The sentiment, seize the cake,  is from the set Something to Say, which is not on the retirment list. Colors used on this card are Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, and Whisper White.

Click here to see a card using the mustache stamp and framelit that I mentioned plus one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Catalog, Guy Greetings.

TSSC 358 - Guy Greetings

I love the Stampin' Up! set Guy Greetings and think Well Worded is fun, so I'm pleased I could put them together for  my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge.
 Supplies:
Stamps: Guy Greetings, Well Worded
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Neutrals Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stack
Big Shot: Mustache Framelit

I stamped the mustache from Well Worded in Early Espresso. Then I highlighted the largest "you da man" by coloring it with my Stampin' Write marker so it's darker than the others

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!

You can link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

TSSC 335 - Well Worded

Stamp, Stock and Save sale and Weekly Deals end today! Don't miss out on these great savings! Contact me by 7:00pm to be part of the group order or order online (hostess code 3HS7NWDP).

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Well Worded.

Supplies:
Stamps: Well Worded
Cardstock: Real Red,Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Flashback
Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate
Accessories: Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Simply Pressed Clay

I have really been doing a lot of the Rock and Roll technique lately. It's thanks to that technique that the butterfly has its pretty two-toned look. I made the button myself using the Simply Pressed Clay and the Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed Molds. The clay is white, but it can be colored. I used my Smoky Slate Stampin' Write marker to make the button match one of the colors in the Designer Series Paper.

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you.
