Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Traveler. Check out my alternate version at the bottom of the post.

Because we share demo info, the blog is only available to demonstrators. But good news! If you join my team, you can be part of my group and several other groups. Plus, you'll have access to the Stamper's X-press blog.

*Certain restrictions apply; see your demonstrator for details.

So what are you waiting for? Head over here and join my team today!

    Peek-a-Boo Card:

This is the Peek-a-Boo card I made. I used sneak peek items Something for Baby stamp set and Baby's First framelits, which I got as a bundle.

I also used some retiring items: Peekaboo Frames Die (25% off), Tasteful Trim Die (25% off), Cuddles and Kisses stamp set (40%0ff), Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper (DSP), and 3/16" Corner Punch (25% off)

Current items: Petite Pairs stamp set, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Circle Punches: 1/2", 3/4", and 1 1/4"

No longer available: Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine
When you pull the tag/Baker's Twine, it pulls over and opens up to reveal the hidden messages (hence the name Peek-a-Boo).
     This gives another view.
Here's how I finished the inside:
I don't know how many times I've thought, I can't believe Stampin' Up! is getting rid of that! This is true of several items on today's card. I'm glad I've got everything off the retired list that I want, but it's too bad I can't use the items in classes anymore. This would be a great card to show my stampers!

On the bright side, I'm excited about all the new products! Less than a week until the new catalog goes live!!

TSSC 302 - Floral Frames

BLOG CANDY:  Win Reason to Smile by interacting on my social media.  See details here.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled post...

Here is this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge sample:

I used some of the items that are on the Weekly Deals list.  If you want any of these items at 25% off, act fast because this is the last day of the sale.  If you order online, please use hostess code:  HEANKVVG  Or, let me know by 8:00pm tonight if you want to take part in a group order.

Other items I used on this card:
Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Epic Day
Big Shot for all those sale items
Here's a side view of the flower.  See the depth?
And here's a close-up view from a different angle.  See the texture?
Wonder how I got that depth and texture?  I used my Simply Scored Stylus (you can also get it with the Simply Scored Board) and Stampin' Pierce Mat
First, use your Paper Snips to cut between the petals on the Daffodil Delight layers so they are separated, but still attached at the center.  Press down with your stylus along the middle of each petal and then work out to the edges. The petals will start to curl up a little.  You can vary how much the petals curl by how hard you press and how many times.  I also did the centers of each layer.  Make sure to poke in a random manner so you don't end up with straight lines.
Here is this week's TSSC sketch that I used for inspiration.  This card is portrait, but I changed mine to a landscape orientation.  I felt that worked better with my design.
You can see the rest of the design team samples at the TSSC website.  Then link your entry at the bottom of the TSSC post.

Daydream Medallions and Blessings From Heaven

I used several of the Weekly Deals on this card.  Can you spot them?

Here are the items on this card that are 25% off through tomorrow, Monday, 12/17:

Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Item #126877 (sort of - this is the old style, 1/4" grosgrain; the new ribbon is stitched)
Other items I used on this card:

Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral
Stamps:  Daydream Medallions, Blessings from Heaven
Big Shot for all those sale items

Here's a side view of the card:

The Wisteria Wonder strip (which was die cut with the Tasteful Trims die) is actually on the inside.  It only shows because the front is cut shorter than the back.

I made this card for the Late Night Stampers Challenge, which is dry or wet embossing.  You can see all of the entries here.  You can also link your own project.

You can see the whole list of Weekly Deals here.  If you decide to Order Online, the hostess code is:  HEANKVVG

Here is this week's sketch:
You can see the other design team samples and link your entry here.  Hope you'll play along this week.

Graduation Cap Gift Box and Card - Petal Cone Die

When I saw this idea by Holly at Ink, Paper, Stamps, I just knew I had to try it.  I've made lots of different projects, including take out boxes, with my Petal Cone Die (retiring, 40% off), so it made perfect sense when I saw it.  The graduation cap is basically a take out box turned upside down, with the card attached to the top.

I made a few modifications (no white on the base of the cap, texturized the "button" on the top, and used a different punch at the end of the tassel).
The bottom of the cap opens like this.  You close it just like you'd close up a cardboard box.  Sorry the picture is a little blurry.  My camera just did not want to focus on it, no matter what setting I used.
The Petal Cone die for the Big Shot is so versatile, you don't want to miss out on getting it.  Unfortunately, since it's on the retirement list, you only have until Monday, June 3rd to order it.  While you're there, check out the other great products on the retirement list.

Still on the fence about it?  Google "Petal Cone die, Stampin' Up" and choose Images at the top.  I've also posted some projects here on my blog, though I have to say, I've made many more items with this die than I've posted.

I stamped the inside of the card with Pure Gumption.  I'm not sure why I didn't take a picture of it.

You can always use black for graduation caps and gowns, but when I know the school colors, I like to personalize it.  We made these in the April Club and some of the ladies made theirs in Brilliant Blue (retired) with a Crushed Curry (returning color) tassel, which matches our local high school colors.

The tassel was made with the Tasteful Trim die and the Scallop Oval Punch.

Googly Ghouls Frankie

The characters in the Stampin' Up set Googly Ghouls are so adorable.  This card uses the Frankie (he's just too cute to call Frankenstein) stamp.  The strips along the bottom, which are kind of reminiscent of his scar, were made with the Tasteful Trims die.
This card and two others are available in a card kit.  You can see the details here.

Scentsational Season Gingerbread Card

Here is another card using the Scentsational Season stamp set and the Holiday Collection Framelits from the new Holiday Catalog.  This time I used the gingerbread men.

The scallop strip cut with the Tasteful Trim die really is on the card straight.  It's my photography that's a little off, lol.  I also used the Stripes Embossing Folder on the scallop strip.

You can get any of the items used on this card at my Online Store.

Quick and Cute card

Hi Stampers!  Today's card goes together in no time, but still is a cute card worthy of sending to someone you love.  There's very little stamping, but a lot of Big Shot usage.

I stamped LOVE YOU with Itty Bitty Banners and then cut it out and layered it with the Bitty Banners Framelits.

The Raspberry Ripple flower was punched with the Blossom Punch and then embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder (which is retired, but you could use the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder).  I finished the flower by putting a little Basic Pearl in the center.  The Gumball Green curvy strip was cut using the Tasteful Trim die.

This layout is very versatile.  You may remember that I shared it with you before in this post.  I really like today's card because it seems so vibrant (much more so in person).  Plus it's a great way to use up some of those scraps we all seem to collect.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Happy Stampin', Sue

Betsy's Blossoms Open House Card

Thanks to those of who came out to the New Catalog Open House earlier this month.  We had a good time.  If you didn't make it to this one, maybe you can come to the next event.

Here's the card we made.  It uses two new stamp sets:  Betsy's Blossoms and Itty Bitty Banners, plus the new Bitty Banners Framelits.  The colors are new In Colors:  Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Primrose Petals.  The strip along the bottom was cut with my Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim die.

May Team Meeting

Once again, we had a wonderful time at our team meeting!  It was held Sunday at the home of my upline, Frances Wagner.  Thanks Frances for providing a wonderful lunch and Deb Dodd for the delicious dessert!!

Here is the make and take we did.  Frances designed it using the new stamp set Everything Eleanor.  The sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness.  I love how she also used the Tasteful Trims die and Baker's Twine, two of my favorites.

Here are the swap cards.  The first one is a double punch card from Karel Standish.  Isn't this just the coolest idea?  Karel has instructions on her blog.

This card was made by Debbie Green.  Looks like Mixed Bunch and the Blossom Punch were popular for this swap!  Of course, I think they are popular with everyone!!  The sentiment is from Elementary Elegance, which was one of this year's Sale-a-bration stamps.  With everything that's retiring, I'm glad to see this ribbon is staying!

This card was made by Deb Dodd.  She used the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  If you missed it during the Sneak Peak, you can get it when the new catalog begins on June 1st.  I just love the angled card stock layers.  Expect to see that soon on one of my cards.
I showed some of the cards I've made with fabric and the keychain we made at my last class.  I hoped this would give everyone some ideas.  I also demonstrated the rock and roll technique.  I'll post more on that a different day.

Frances had door prizes and I won supplies (foam board and a decor element -- that's all that's needed) to make a chalkboard like the one below.  Thanks, Frances!  This decor element was from S-A-B, but there are lots more available (both chalkboard style and regular) but only until May 31 (sadly they are being retired).  There are even chalkboard sheets that you can cut with your Big Shot!  How fun to use them to make labels (just like in a recent article in Martha Stewart's magazine -- except you could cut yours in cute shapes, like the Top Note or a scallop).

Oops, I just realized that the watermark on the board should have had Frances's name since she made it.  Guess I was distracted because I thought it was clever to put the watermark on the board in white like it was written in chalk.  Sorry about that!

Want to come to great meetings like this and have fun, share ideas, and stamp?  Join my team and you can!  Not to mention all the other great benefits!  Stampin' Up has introduced a new $99 starter kit.  Check it out here and then sign up to take advantage of this fantastic offer.  I'd love to have you on my team!

Mixed Bunch Cards

I made this card using Mixed Bunch and the coordinating Blossom Punch.  I really like the strip from the Tasteful Trim die behind the flower.  It just gives the card a little extra something.

I actually made the above card back in January but am just getting it posted now.  A few weeks after I made the card above, I made the card below for a color challenge.  The funny thing is, I didn't even remember the first card until I was putting out samples at my next event.   Guess I just really like this layout :)

Anyhow, you can see how the same layout can have a totally different look and feel just by changing the colors.

Easter Card and Basket

Here are two of the three projects we will be making in my upcoming class -- an Easter card with a matching basket.  This class will be offered Saturday 2/25 and Wednesday 2/29.  There's still time to register.  Check out the details here and then contact me to let me know which date you'll be attending.

Both projects use a stamp from Apothecary Art and one from Delightful Dozen.  The stamped images and the Certainly Celery layer behind them were cut out using the Labels Framelits.  I used my blender pen and ink to color the flowers.  The Certainly Celery pieces were embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I added Basic Pearls for accent -- in the top corners on the card and along the handle of the basket.

The bottom of the card and of the Regal Rose layer were cut with the Adorning Accents die and then the Regal Rose piece was embossed using the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders.

The handle of the basket was made with the Tasteful Trims die.  The design of the basket itself is actually very easy and has been around for a quite awhile.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.  Remember, if you are local to the Raleigh, Garner, Clayton, Fuquay-Varina or Apex, NC area you can make these projects in my upcoming class.  Also, if you've never been to one of my events before, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a free class.
