TSSC 324 - Happy Hour

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Happy Hour.

Believe it or not, the background cardstock is Strawberry Slush. The colors are a little off because by the time we got home from my family reunion last night, it was starting to get dark and I couldn't get good lighting. I see my card didn't make it on the TSSC site again this week. I'm thinking Mary Jo must have posted them a little early since she wasn't expecting mine (I'd already told her we were on vacation for the week, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make a sample this week). Last week it wasn't with the group because Mary Jo was camping and had to post early. I didn't get that email notice until I got home from vacation.

The point of this is - a) We had a wonderful time on vacation: zip lining, white water rafting, and several days with extended family! and b) Be sure to check out the linked entries at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site because with all our crazy summer schedules, some of the design team samples end up there. Plus you get the bonus of seeing what non-design team members have created. While you're there, be sure to link your entry so we can all enjoy your project.

Supplies:

Stamps: Happy Hour
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Confetti Celebration
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay
Big Shot: Starburst Framelits
Punches: 3/4" Circle, 1" Circle

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!

Remember, all DSP, including the one used on today's card, is on sale this month. Buy 3 packs DSP and get 1 free.

Check back tomorrow for the new Weekly Deals! Still time to get this week's specials. Order Online or contact me about a group order.

Happy Hour Birthday

Here's a birthday card I made using the Stampin' Up! set, Happy Hour. The DSP, Birthday Basics, is retiring. It's on sale for $7.67 (while supplies last).

Supplies:

Stamps: Happy Hour
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Basics
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray
Other: Crystal Effects (to make wine glasses shiny)

Inside I used a couple of sentiments from Happy Hour:

Any hour spent with you is HAPPY HOUR!

and

Here's to you on your birthday!

I also cut out one of the hats and put it in the bottom corner. I like doing stuff like that to dress up the inside of a card.

This card is also an entry for the Late Night Stampers Challenge 249 since I used the Crystal Effects on the wine glasses.

TSSC 315 Happy Hour

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Happy Hour. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. It also works for the Late Night Stampers Challenge to use Crystal Effects.

Here's a close up of the drink. I used Crystal Effects to get it so shiny. I think it makes the glass look more like a glass. It's got a little spot where I touched it before it was dry. Otherwise it would be smooth. You can't see it so much on the card. It's just very noticeable since it's enlarged.

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!
Link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

You can see the LNS Challenge entries here. Maybe you'll want to make an entry that works for both challenges like I did.

Check back tomorrow for the new Weekly Deals! Still time to get this week's specials. Order Online or contact me about a group order.

Speaking of the Weekly Deals - be sure to check out yesterday's post to see several ideas using Epic Day DSP, which is on the sale through today.

TSSC 309 Happy Hour and Petite Pairs

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp sets, Happy Hour and Petite Pairs.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is Eastern Elegance. It's such pretty paper and I love the colors!

Here's a picture of the inside - the second half of the Petite Pairs pair and a stamp from Happy Hour. Colors on this card are Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White.

TSSC 291 Happy Hour

Holiday Sale alert:
Items on this card that are on sale - Soho Subway DSP (130140, $7.67), Neutrals Core'dinations cardstock (129956, $16.77 - also other colors).  Crumb Cake Note Card Envelopes  (131528, $3.85) .

Here is this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge card.  It's 3 1/2" x 5" and fits the Crumb Cake Note Card Envelopes.

I am really enjoying this Soho Subway Designer Series Paper.  It has masculine and feminine designs, which you can't always find within a pack of DSP.  And the colors are fun to work with.

This card uses stamps from Happy Hour.  I used Stampin' Write markers to color the stamps so that I could use multiple colors.  I put Crystal Effects over the bowl of the glass to make it shiny.  It was kind of hard to photograph, but below is the best close-up I could get.

Here is the sketch:

Here's another card using Soho Subway DSP.  The stamps are from Oh, Hello and Six Sided Sampler.  It actually started out for last week's sketch, but wasn't quite right.  I tried to use some of the pieces for this week's sketch, but still not right.  So, I took what I had, added some, and this is the result.  Just goes to show, you never know what you might come up when you play along with a sketch challenge.

Hope you'll play along with the TSSChallenge this week.  Who knows where your creativity will lead you?

TSSC 271 - Happy Hour

Happy Hour is such a cute set and I thought of it right away when I saw this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge.

Colors are Tempting Turquoise, Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White.

The decorative edge was made with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

I finished off the inside of the card, too, but apparently didn't take a picture.  It's not the first time that's happened, lol.

Here is this week's sketch:
Now that you've seen my sample, head on over to the TSSC site to see the samples made by the rest of the design team.  Then create your own project using the above sketch and link it at the same site.

Happy Stampin', Sue

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I hope that 2013 is a wonderful year for you!

The main image on this card is a single stamp called New Years.  It is only available until tomorrow (Jan. 2nd).  The glass is from the stamp set Happy Hour and the background bubbles were made with Circle Circus and the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad.
