TSSC 261 (Circle Circus)

For this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge I used a set on the retirement list, Circle Circus.  There are so many fun things to do with this set.

Here's the sketch:
Here's my card.  The background and the design in the circle were stamped using Circle Circus.  Colors are Tempting Turquoise and the retiring In Color, Lucky Limeade.

The rounded corners have a bigger circumference than those done with the corner rounder punch.  I used one of my circle punches (I can't remember which - either 1 1/4" or 1 3/8").  Basically, go in from the top (as opposed to from the bottom, which would just punch out a whole circle) and stick the corner of the card in the punch as far as it will go.

I stamped the inside of the card, too.

Now that you've seen my card, head on over to the TSSC blog to see the other design team samples and to link your own take on the sketch.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I hope that 2013 is a wonderful year for you!

The main image on this card is a single stamp called New Years.  It is only available until tomorrow (Jan. 2nd).  The glass is from the stamp set Happy Hour and the background bubbles were made with Circle Circus and the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad.

It's A Wrap Candy and Card

I wanted a small gift of candy and a coordinating card, so I used It's A Wrap Holidays and Circle Circus.  The stamps from It's a Wrap Holidays are the perfect size to cover Hershey's Nuggets (and when it comes to candy, you really can't beat chocolate!).

The four wrapped nuggets were loaded into a Stampin' Up small cellophane bag.  I used the Top Note die for the topper and attached it with Sticky Strip.  I stamped the 4 YOU image on another piece of Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch.  I attached the punched circle to the image stamped on the topper with a Stampin' Dimensional, rotating it so that the words were upright.

Ink:  Night of Navy
Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Whisper White
Other:  Card: Silver Brads
Candy:  Cellophane Bags, Top Note die, Hershey's Nuggets

Animal Stories

I love the little animals in Animal Stories.  They are all so cute.  There is an owl (click the link to see a card made with it), a whale (cards below), an elephant (the top card) and a giraffe (great for baby cards).  I'm going to miss this set.

The sentiment comes from the stamp set Smarty Pants, which is full of humorous sayings.

I used the scallop square punch to create the waves and scallop oval punch for the clouds.

The background is from Circle Circus.

Cheers to You and Circle Circus

Here's another card using Circle Circus and Cheers to You.  The colors are Concord Crush and Delightful Daffodil.  If you haven't seen these colors in person, you must.  They are much richer than shows in this picture -- especially the Concord Crush.

Tiny Bubbles

The card below, done in Night of Navy and Whisper White, uses the Medallion Stamp and the champagne glasses from Cheers to You.  The bubbles at the top and bottom were made using a stamp from Circle Circus and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

This card would work great for a wedding or anniversary.  You could even add a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped and punched with the Word Window punch, at the bottom right.

I've made a similar card in black and gold that we will be doing at an upcoming class.

Circle Circus Cards

Here are some cards made with the awesome Circle Circus set.

The Melon Mambo card that says Thanks... on the front uses the rest of the stamp on the inside:  not just for the BIG things you do, but all the wonderful little things too!
