Weekly Deals - July 15

Weekly Deals
New Weekly Deals have been announced! See them here.

Please let me know by Sunday night if you'd like to order anything as part of a group order. This can be anything - Weekly Deals, Clearance, Designer Series Paper (which is buy 3, get 1 free in July), or whatever else you want.

If you shop online, please use hostess code HPKY926A. This helps me get freebies to share with those of you who use the code. If your order is over $150, don't use the code so you can get hostess benefits for yourself.

TSSC 323 - Sea Street

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. I made a clean and simple (CAS) card using the Stampin' Up! set, Sea Street. I pressed a little too hard when I stamped, so the mouth and eyes didn't show. It didn't matter. I just used my White Gel Pen to draw a mouth and used a couple small Basic Pearls for the eyes. I often use Basic Pearls, even when the eyes show up just fine.
Supplies:

Stamps: Sea Street
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, White Gel Pen
Embellishments: Basic Pearls

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!

Ice Cream Cone Card

The What's Your Type stamp set debuted in the 2014-15 catalog. It has loads of possibilities. You may have seen the ideas on page 161 of the catalog - including using the elements to make every letter of the alphabet. I used two of the stamps to make an ice cream cone.
I cut along the bottom of the Whisper White piece to sort of imitate ice cream dripping (and also to get rid of a stamping boo boo - but that's our little secret, so don't tell ;) ).

Thank You came from Something to Say and the other words were made with the Alphabet Rotary stamp.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from a Patterns Paper Stack and the ribbon is 5/8" Organza Ribbon. The Organza Ribbon and Linen Thread (not used in today's project) are such staples that they keep being brought back year after year. If you don't have them, consider adding them to your go-to supplies stash.

Here's a view of the catalog page I mentioned:
Want to see the alphabet in lowercase? Check out this one I found on Stampin' Connection (an online gathering spot for demonstrators - just one of the many perks of joining my Stampin' Up! team).

Here's a video sharing even more ideas using this fun set:

What ideas can you come up with?

Also, FYI - new items have been added to the Clearance Rack - including Core'dinations cardstock.

TSSC 322 Smiley Face

I've got to confess - this sketch was over for me the moment I saw it. All I could see was a big smiley face. I even put it aside and went back to it several days later - still the smiley. Put it aside again with the same result. So, I finally gave in and made a smiley face card. Here it is:

I tried to sort of keep with the elements of the sketch. It's not very close, but it is where the sketch led me. And that's the idea of a sketch challenge - to use it for inspiration and see what you come up with.

The sayings are from Petite Pairs: "So many smiles..." "...begin with you!" Seemed appropriate for this card.

Here's this week's TSSC sketch:

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9G8DzRnOl81yyh5BKiyjdpwGRrK1Gc2538hIhK7x-IDxK5ke6c6sl56EFW1FrzItK5f-J4UGnq8Gi4uji5pq53_k8mCtXt2XFX-f0UqrOmeGfo5Lf0jXfniqpei0RxnF94PFeY65NhpM9/s1600/ScreenHunter_61+May.+25+16.39.jpg
Supplies:

Stamps: What's Your Type, Petite Pairs
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Brights Designer Patterns Stack (Tempting Turquoise)
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, StazOn Black

Link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

Remember to check back tomorrow for a new set of Weekly Deals.

Wahoo! Cards

Stampin' Up! challenged us to use Paper Pumpkin stamps to create something. I made two cards using the stamps from the September 2013 Paper Pumpkin kits.
The first one uses the two stamps from the kit along with some Moonlight DSP, Blackberry Bliss card stock, and Hello Honey card stock. I used the Big Shot to emboss the background card stock with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. The ink is Blackberry Bliss.
The second card uses just one stamp from the kit and a stamp from the hostess set, Life's Adventure. Ink used is Blackberry Bliss and Basic Gray. Card stock is Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White.

As you can see, the Paper Pumpkin stamps aren't limited to the projects in the kit. You can continue to use them long after the projects have been made.

You can order your own Paper Pumpkin subscription here so you don't miss out on getting these exclusive stamps (hostess code HPKY926A). Please ask if you have any questions.

Happy 4th of July - June Paper Pumpkin Kit

Happy 4th of July!

Here are some projects I made with my June Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit had supplies to make 24 pinwheels - plus other accessories for the projects. So, this is just a fraction of the supplies I got in the kit.

Here's a quick centerpiece I put together. The vase came from the Dollar Tree and it's filled with Hershey's Kisses to keep the pinwheels standing. Everything else was in the kit.
Cellophane bags were also included in the kit, so it was easy to put together this cute favor. The kit came with a Night of Navy ink spot and I used my own Real Red ink pad.
Here's a close-up of one of the pinwheels, ready to be used in a project.
I really like the June Paper Pumpkin kit. There's so much to do with it. Interested in getting Paper Pumpkin? Ask me for details or sign up here.

Happy 4th of July - For Your Country

If you haven't made your Independence Day cards yet, there's still time...barely. We made card this in our last Stamp Club.
You can send this card to anyone you want to wish them a Happy 4th of July. However, I finished off the inside with a couple other stamps from the For Your Country set - Godspeed and Thank You. I thought it would be nice to send it to a soldier currently serving our country. I also added some Real Red and Night of Navy stars that I punched out with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Supplies:

Stamps: For Your Country, Alphabet Rotary, Project Life Day to Day
Card stock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Big Shot: Stripes Embossing Folder
Ribbon: Silver 1/8"
Sponge Daubers
This variation was made by one of my customers, Alyce Anthony. She used the sponge daubers to make little circles instead of sponging like I did. Isn't it cute?

Blendabilities Are Here!

Woo Hoo! Blendabilities Markers from Stampin' Up! are now available!  You can see them online here (search on Blendabilities to see all of the available colors) or on page 212 of the Stampin' Up! Catalog.

In addition to your Blendabilities, you need the Memento Black pad. It's formulated differently so that the ink doesn't run when you color with the Blendabilities. The Color Lifter is also nice to have, but not strictly necessary.

Pick the Blendabilities colors you want - or get them all. Order online (use hostess code HPKY926A) or as part of a group order. I'm placing a group order this evening (probably one later in the week, too, but who wants to wait any longer?).

Bonus: Order all 6 colors, the Memento ink pad, and the Color Lifter and I'll give you a pack of Whisper White card stock. Order this week either online (using Hostess Code HPKY926A or in an order big enough to get you hostess benefits) or in one of this week's group orders. (Note: if gift needs mailed, you pay for postage, or you can choose a gift that's easier to mail)

Video with tips, tricks, and instructions on how to use Blendabilities:

Colors come packaged 3 markers to a set and are $11.95 per set:
  • Cherry Cobbler (item #130995)
  • Coastal Cabana (item #131000)
  • Daffodil Delight (item #130998)
  • Old Olive (item #130999)
  • Pumpkin Pie (item #130997)
  • Rich Razzleberry (item #131003)
Also available:
  • Skin Tone Assortment (item #129370) (6 markers for $22.95)
  • Memento Ink Pad (item #132708) $5.95
  • Memento Ink Refill (item #133456) $4.95
  • Color Lifter (item #129369) $4.95
It's recommended you use these markers with Whisper White cardstock, #100730.

Have questions about these awesome new markers or anything else stamping related? Contact me or leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

Looking to round out your order? Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and Buy 3 - Get 1 DSP promo.

Remember - FREE pack of Whisper White card stock if you get all 6 Blendabilities colors, the Memento ink pad, and the Color Lifter. Yes, you can substitute the Skin Tone Assortment for one of the colors (or just add it to your order).

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for choosing me as your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!!

Weekly Deals and Buy 3 - Get 1 FREE

Good morning! In addition to this week's Weekly Deals, I have another awesome savings opportunity from Stampin' Up! During July, buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and get 1 FREE (yup, free - one of my favorite words!). Click here to see them online or look on pages 186 and 187 of your annual catalog.

I will be placing a group order this evening, so let me know if you want to be part of it. With Buy 3 - Get 1 Free, Weekly Deals, and Blendabilities, I bet I'll be hearing from you. Of course, you can always order online, too. If you do, remember to use hostess code HPKY926A to get a free gift from me.

Details:

Only the $10.95 packs are included (i.e. not Paper Stacks or Specialty DSP)
Order your 3 and then make sure the 4th is separate.
No limit!
Ends July 31, 2014

Conveniently, there are 8 packs of DSP included, so if you buy 6, you get the other 2 free and you have them all!

TSSC 321 - Something for Baby

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Something for Baby, and the coordinating Baby's First Framelits.
Does this look a little familiar? I knew I had used this stamp set and framelits in a previous TSSC challenge, but I didn't realize how many of the same supplies I'd used until I uploaded this one to the computer. I needed a card for an upcoming shower and so I was focused on that. At least now I've got the card I need (and the other one for the next shower I get invited to). Just for kicks, you can see the other card here.

Supply list:
Stamps: Something for Baby, Cuddles and Kisses
Card stock: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Moonlight Designer Paper Stack
Ink: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon
Big Shot: Baby's First Framelits, Circles Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
 Here's this week's sketch.

And here's the way I finished the inside. It's not overly fancy, but I think the booties are a cute touch. The sayings are from Cuddles and Kisses, which unfortunately is retired.

Link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

Check back tomorrow for the new Weekly Deals! Still time to get this week's specials. Order Online or contact me to be part of this afternoon's group order.

Another Moonlight Stamp-a-Stack Card

Here's another card we'll be making at the Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday.
The stamp is from Starburst Sayings and was cut out using my Big Shot and the Starburst framelits.

I really love this Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. The designs and the colors are fantastic!

Here's a photo of all the cards we'll be making Saturday.
You can see details about the class here. Contact me if you want one of the remaining spots.

Fun Sea Street Card

I just love this little octopus! He's so cute! In fact, he's the reason I bought the Sea Street stamp set. Turns out I like the rest of the set, too, which is always a good thing :)

 Supply list:
Stamps: Sea Street
Card stock: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Moonlight Designer Paper Stack
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey
Big Shot: Starburst Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
Punch: Postage Stamp

You can make this card and nine others at the Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday. Let me know ASAP if you'd like to come. You can see details and a picture of all the cards here.
