Paper Pumpkin Party

Had a smaller group than expected for this morning's Paper Pumpkin Party, but the six of us still had a lot of fun. Forgot to take pictures (surprise!) until the end, but I did get this cute one of Sherri and her son Nick. They worked on kits from June and July.

I shared the projects I made from the July kit using the instructions (sort of). They can be seen here.

I also shared a few other cards I made. The first one uses the THANKS stamp from the July kit. The circle was cut with the Big Shot and Circles Framelits. It's layered on a piece cut with the Deco Labels Framelits (which, bundled with the Oh My Goodies stamp set, are available for free w/purchase of Big Shot or at a 15% off savings for the framelit/stamps bundle - ends 8/31). The striped paper is from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

I used the outline of the WISH letters to make a stencil. The "MAKE A" is from the stamp set included in the July Paper Pumpkin Kit. I added a couple extra stars from the kit and used a dauber to sponge the background in various yellows. This is one of those cards that I think is much cuter in person.

 Again, I stenciled the WISH letters. The "BIG" and stars were stamped (from the included stamp set) in Calypso Coral. I used some Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and an extra star.

Here's a card that Corothy made. I like how she used several stars together. It reminds me of a shooting star.

July Paper Pumpkin

TSSC 324 - Happy Hour

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Happy Hour.

Believe it or not, the background cardstock is Strawberry Slush. The colors are a little off because by the time we got home from my family reunion last night, it was starting to get dark and I couldn't get good lighting. I see my card didn't make it on the TSSC site again this week. I'm thinking Mary Jo must have posted them a little early since she wasn't expecting mine (I'd already told her we were on vacation for the week, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make a sample this week). Last week it wasn't with the group because Mary Jo was camping and had to post early. I didn't get that email notice until I got home from vacation.

The point of this is - a) We had a wonderful time on vacation: zip lining, white water rafting, and several days with extended family! and b) Be sure to check out the linked entries at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site because with all our crazy summer schedules, some of the design team samples end up there. Just Sayin'

Here's a quick card (also known as CAS, or clean and simple) I whipped up:

I used Whisper White for the base and then added a Blackberry Bliss layer and a strip of Moonlight DSP. I stamped a few sayings from the Stampin' Up! set, Just Sayin', and cut them out with my Big Shot and Word Bubbles framelits. Then I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere them to the card. That's it.

My First Card In A Box

I've wanted to make a Card in a Box for a while and I finally got the chance. I think it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. You can make this card next week at one of the two classes I'll be having.
