Here's the inside. I know Father's Day is over, but you could switch the sentiment for any masculine event. There's a Happy Birthday and a Congratulations stamp in the set.

TSSC 366 - Giggle Greetings Birthday

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. I used Giggle Greetings. Those stamps really do make me giggle. Okay, I'd say I'm more of a chuckle person than a giggle person - but you get the idea.

In case the picture isn't clear enough to be able to read the sentiment, it says, "age is something that doesn't count unless you're a cheese." This saying is perfect for my family. Cheese and crackers is a nightly snack for much of my extended family.

Regular readers of my blog and facebook page may be having a sense of deja vu as they see this post. The TSSC challenge recently went from weekly to bi-monthly. Because June had 3 Mondays, there was a little confusion on the dates and this got posted last week. I pulled it and am now posting it on the correct day.

Sprinkles of LIfe Gift Card Holder

We made this in club this past week. We used the diagonal score board to make the outer envelope. It's perfectly sized to hold a gift card. I like the idea of presenting it like this. I think it looks pretty.

 Here's the insert. The cupcake top is popped up. The top of the tag is punched with the Scallop Tag Topper punch. The cupcake top is punched with the Tree Builder punch.

 You could also close it up to give. If you slide the band up like this, the envelope flap will tuck under the band. The tag is on the opposite side of the envelope than if I was presenting it open like above.

Sprinkles of Life Ice Cream Cone CAS Card

Here's a clean and simple card made with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder punch. It's one of the cards we're making at this week's classes. We're also making a pop-up card and a gift card holder using the same stamps and punch.

 

Colors: Soft Suede, Pool Party, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White

Guy Greetings - Quick Present Wrap

Happy Father's Day!

Hope you've had a nice day. I needed to wrap a present for my husband and didn't have any appropriate wrapping paper - nor did I have time to create some elaborate packaging. So, I grabbed a piece of copy paper (which is why it's bright gold - the only color I could find besides white) and stamped some images from Guy Greetings. I wrapped the present with that paper and added some ribbon at the bottom

If I'd had more time I probably would have blinged it up a bit, but I don't think it looks too bad - especially for how quickly it went together. The weight of the new envelope paper would be perfect for this project.

TSSC 365 - Flower Card

EDIT 6/16/15: For some reason my design team sample didn't make it on the TSSC blog with the others. I just went ahead and linked it the way you will when you play along. So if you look for it there, it's underneath with the challenge entries.

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. I used the faux suede technique on the flower.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Designer Series Paper (DSP): In Color Envelope Paper (Watermelon Wonder)

Big Shot: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (retired)

Punch: 3/4" circle, Pansy Punch (on the weekly deals through tonight), and a punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack (retired)

Sorry about the retired items. You could use the Decorative Dots embossing folder instead of Perfect Polka Dots ef. There are a few options for the retired punch - 1/2" circle punch would be a little bigger, but still good; a Brights Designer Button; or if you used Delightful Dijon instead of Daffodil Delight, a 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accent would look cute.

Wildflower Meadow - Discounted!

I am re-sharing this card I originally posted in 2013. I think it's a very pretty stamp and I just saw that it's discounted. Wildflower Meadow Clear Mount is now only $10.46 (instead of $13.95), Wood Mount is now only $13.46. The coordinating embossing folder (which I did not use on this card) is 1/2 off! So it's only $3.98.

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the stamp.  Then I lightly spritzed the stamp with water and stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock.  I used my Sponge Dauber to add some blue (Pool Party) for the sky.

I love this Stampin' Up! set, For Your Country. All of the stamps on these cards are from that set. Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, and Basic Black. Ink: Old Olive and Basic Black. The background was embossed using the Big Shot and Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder.

Cardstock: Whisper White and Old Olive. Ink: Old Olive, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, and Basic Black.

Memorial Day Decoration Idea

I just found this awesome digital download on the Stampin' Up! site. I'm going to download it and make a decoration for Memorial Day tomorrow (which I'll also be able to use on 4th of July). It's sized to print out at 8.5 x 11, so you can print it on your own printer. Buy or decorate a cute frame and you're done - if you want to be. You can, of course, embellish to your heart's content. It would look nice reduced and mounted on coordinating card stock before being put in the frame.

 

You can use it in My Digital Studio and other programs. I've even used MDS downloads in Word. Use it as a background or shrink it to make a focal point on a scrapbook page. There's lots you can do with these downloads even if you don't own MDS. Besides this template, there's a 28 piece stamp brush set included to increase the versatility. But remember, you must buy, download, and save to your computer by May 31! Butterfly Treats

Happy Mother's Day!

We made these cute little butterfly treats a couple months ago in club, but I'm just getting them posted now. The butterfly is made with the Mixed Bunch stamp set (retiring) and Blossom punch (retiring and already sold out). The butterfly center is a chocolate egg. Antennae are made with two little strips of card stock. Colors: Melon Mambo and Marina Mist.

Let the Blossom punch be a reminder - if you want anything off the retiring list, don't wait to get it. Items are available while supplies last. That being said, it's possible I may be able to locate a Blossom punch, so if you want one, please contact me.
