TSSC 289 Simply Pressed Clay Flower

Before I get into today's post, I want to say sorry about my reduced posting lately.  I should be back on track now.

Here's my sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge:
Wondering where I got that flower?  I know, the title kind of gave it away (lol).  It was made with Simply Pressed Clay.  But instead of using one of the molds, I made a ball, flattened it a little, and then used the flower from my Occasions Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps (available on the Clearance Rack).  It was really easy to use my scissors to trim the excess from around the flower.

You can't see it in the picture, but the flower and the words are both shimmery.  I love this look.  For the flower, I mixed rubbing alcohol, a few drops of Real Red re-inker, and some Frost White Shimmer Paint in a Stampin' Spritzer and then spritzed the flower.  Be sure to shake well before using!  For the words, I inked the stamp in Real Red and then used a Sponge Dauber to gently add some Frost White Shimmer Paint.  A light hand is important so that the words stay crisp.

The background is Bermuda Bay cardstock that has been embossed using the Big Shot and the Argyle Embossing Folder.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is Eastern Elegance.  The stamp is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Here is the TSSC sketch for this week:
