Photo Wallet - Elements of Style

Recently I made this cute little photo wallet using one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets, Elements of Style.  I can't believe it's retiring.

Here's the photo wallet closed:
Here it is opened all the way.  You can mount pictures on the solid pieces and journal on the Whisper White ones.  I used a light colored ink on the journaling pieces so that the writing will still be readable (as long as you use a dark ink).

Here it is partially open (or partially closed, depending on your view point).  There are two spots for more photos and a pretty stamped center.
This is the belly band that holds it closed.
We'll be making one of these in an upcoming class, so keep an eye on the Classes/Events page to find out when.  The one we make in class will be different since Elements of Style will no longer be available.  It's a great set.  If you don't have it, be sure to get it before it's gone.

Guest Stamper - Nick Field

At our last Stamp Club meeting, Sherri brought her teenage son Nick to stamp with us.  He was a nice addition to the class and made some great cards.  Since then he's been busy creating more and his mom has been sending me pictures.  I asked if I could share this card because it has a rosette on the front, which he learned how to make at the class he came to.  I really like how he has the tendrils coming out from each side of the rosette.  They are from Elements of Style and the border is from Fresh Vintage.

Card by Nick Field:

I just love how Nick finished off the inside.  It's another work of art!

The sentiment on the inside is from For All You Do.  The other stamps are from Out West.  Both sets are on the retiring list so they will no longer be available after May 31.

Thanks Nick for letting me post this card.  You are very talented!

November Happenings and two Birthday cards

Hi Stampers!  Just wanted to fill you in on what's happening:

1)  Saturday, November 5th I will be having a "Share the Wealth Party."  See the Classes/Events page for details.  Hope you can make it!

2)  Hostess Bonus:  From now until Dec. 15 earn an extra $35 in hostess dollars with a party of $350 or more.  Click the button on the left for more details.

3)  Free Big Shot:  Sign up to be a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and get a free Big Shot (or $100 shopping spree).  Hurry, offer ends November 11th!  Click the button on the left for more details.

Now a little inspiration, two cards using the same colors and same stamps in a little different way:

Both cards use Wisteria Wonder ink and card stock, Whisper White card stock, and the following stamp sets:  Elements of Style and Sincere Salutations.

The top card also uses Stampin' Dimensionals to lift up the top layers.

The bottom card also uses the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

August Club Cards

Here are the two cards we made at our August club meeting.

This card uses Elements of Style.  The sentiment is from Wellness Wishes.  The purpose was to show how quick and easy it is to watercolor with the watercolor crayons and an aqua painter.

This card uses the new Concord Crush ribbon.  I love that new In Color.  It's so rich.  We used the direct to rubber technique on the flowers from Inspired By Nature and used one of the sentiments from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  {For some reason I can't get this picture to turn the right direction.  It's correct on my computer, but it turns when it uploads.  I'll try to figure it out, but if I don't, just turn your head to look :) }

Elements of Style

I created this card because I wanted something quick and easy made with this Stampin' Up set, Elements of Style.  This set is so beautiful that it doesn't take much to make a really nice card.  You can do more with it, you just don't have to.

Hope you enjoy it!  Sue

Elements of Style Butterfly Card

I saw this card by carddiva on Splitcoast and had to try it.  It uses the Stampin' Up set Elements of Style from the new mini catalog.  Buy this set, or one of several other select sets, during May and get a free package of designer brads.  It also uses the Bigz die Beautiful Butterflies.
