Define Your Life (plus Eastern Blooms and other sets)

Each of the three cards today uses the gratitude stamp from the retiring set Define Your Life.  I will put a nice thank you verse inside and then use them for Project Give Thanks.

You could use any definition.  It just depends what you plan to use the card for.  Sending a card for no particular reason?  Use because.  Anniversary?  Use together.  Job well done?  Use quality.  There are 26 definitions in this set so you're likely to find a definition to fit your need.

This card also uses Eastern Blooms, which is another retiring set.

The following card uses the stamp set Fifth Avenue Florals.  Colors are Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight.

This card uses Sprinkles, which retired last year.  But if you want it, I have a brand new set I'd be happy to sell to you.

Don't forget, buy Define Your Life before it's gone and get your choice of either a free pack of cardstock ($6.95) or a free stamp set (you choose from a selection I have on hand - value up to $17.95). Order Define Your Life and an alphabet set ($43.95) and receive 2 free packs of cardstock (one for each stamp set ordered) PLUS a free stamp set (OR two free stamp sets and a pack of cardstock). You must contact me directly to take advantage of this special.

Define Your Life (w/ butterfly)

I love the set Define Your Life.  It has so many great definitions to use on scrapbook pages, on cards or on other paper crafts.  Instead of retiring this set, I think they need to come out with a Define Your Life 2.  Unfortunately, that choice is not up to me :(

Here's a card I actually did a while ago.  I've made it in several different colors -- sponged and not sponged.  Sometimes, I've changed the definition.  I liked them all.  We did this card in Ruby Red in a class.

Flowers from Elegant Bouquet embossing folder sponged:

Flowers not sponged:

Though they are a little hard to see in this picture, the flowers look really nice in person.

Seeing this card again has inspired me to go make some.  And I know just who I'm going to give them to.

St. Patrick's Day Card

This is one of the cards we will make in the Spring Class on Thursday.  There is still time to register -- either through the e-mail address in the header or by leaving a comment on this post.  We'll also be making a bendy card.  Have you seen those yet?  Very cool.  My next post will show you one.

This card uses Whisper White and Garden Green.  I used the heart to heart punch to make the four leaf clover.  The center is from Build a Blossom.  The phrases are from Teeny Tiny Wishes and Define Your Life (which is full of fun, useful definitions -- great for cards, scrapbooking, inspirational journals...you name it).

I got the inspiration for this card on Stampin' Connection, a website full of ideas and more, that is open only to demonstrators.  Sale-a-bration is a great time to join Stampin' Up.  Contact me today to join!

(The talented demonstrator who shared the original card is Marsha Brooks.  I didn't copy hers exactly, but the layout is the same.)

Masculine Valentine

I'm very happy with this card.  It came out just how I wanted it to.

This card uses stamps from many different sets.  The letters are from Varsity Alphabet, the heart is from Simply Said, the word love is from Things I Love and the word you and it's definition is from Define Your Life.  I used a retired set on the Real Read cardstock, but Wonderfully Worn would give it a similar look.  I think Sanded would also work there.  The brads are from Hodgepodge Hardware.

Elements of Style Butterfly Card

I saw this card by carddiva on Splitcoast and had to try it.  It uses the Stampin' Up set Elements of Style from the new mini catalog.  Buy this set, or one of several other select sets, during May and get a free package of designer brads.  It also uses the Bigz die Beautiful Butterflies.

St. Patrick's Day Card using Define Your Life

This card was CASEd from a very talented stamper named Donna Rogers, who is a member of Late Night Stampers.  You can see her original card here: http://gems4donna.blogspot.com/2010/02/st-pattys-day-swap.html   We will be making this card in my upcoming class on Thursday, March 4 at 10:00am and 7:00pm.  There's still time to register.

Recipe:  Sahara Sand, Natural Ivory, Handsome Hunter and Night of Navy Cardstock;  Night of Navy and Handsome Hunter Classic Ink; Define Your Life, Very Thankful and Itty Bitty Backgrounds Stamp Sets; Large Heart, Scallop Edge and Circle (1/2" and 3/4") Punches

In case you're wondering, the circles are punched from one of the Very Thankful stamps.  Itty Bitty Backgrounds was used to add some visual depth to the shamrock.

For those of you who haven't heard the term, CASE means Copy and Share Everything, which fits right in with the Stampin' Up Statement of the Heart.
