Betsy's Blooms and Blossoms

This card uses Betsy's Blossoms and the Betsy's Blooms wheel.

Card stock colors are Tangerine Tango and Whisper White.  Ink color is Primrose Petals.

I punched the flowers out with the  retired Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, but if you don't have it you could use your Paper Snips to cut them.

Projects Using Fabric

We had a good group at the Fun With Fabric class this morning.  We made two cards and a flower keychain, all of which used the beautiful Twitterpated Fabric from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This fabric is only available until Monday, 4/30, so be sure to get yours before it's too late.  The projects also use several items from the Accessories retirement list, which are only available while supplies last.  Some of the items are even discounted!

I used the following retiring items on this card:  Scallop Circle #2 die, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (40% off), Circle Fire Rhinestone brads (25% off), and Finial Press embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, which thankfully is NOT retiring.  Card stock colors are Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

 I used the Finial Press embossing folder on the flap of the envelope.  I just love how elegant this makes an envelope look!

 I used the retiring items Vintage Vogue stamp set and ticket corner punch on this card.  I also used one of the flower punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a plain old hole punch for the flower center.  Card stock colors are Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, and Whisper White.

 Here's a little bonus project using Vintage Vogue.  We didn't make this in the class, but I thought you might enjoy seeing it.  The bookmark was cut with the Two Tags Die and embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.

Here's the keychain we made.  I got the original idea from Erika Clark.  She posted instructions, too.  You can see her post here.  The big pearl in the center is available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It's bigger than the ones in the big catalog.  The Pear Pizzazz ribbon is retiring (25% off).  There is felt on the back to help hold the flower together.  It looks cute when the felt backing is the big flower from Blossom Party die because the petals stick out a bit.  I used the Scallop Circle #2 die for this one, but have since bought the other die because the keychain looks much cuter with the petals.

Mixed Bunch Center Step Card

This is one of the January club cards.  It is a center step card.

The card base is Pool Party with layers from Everyday Enchantment DSP.  The big flower was stamped with Mixed Bunch, punched with the Blossom Punch and layered on a Calypso Coral punched blossom.  The brad in the center is from the In Color Designer Brads.  The smaller flowers were stamped with Fresh Vintage, cut out and layered on a Calypso Coral punched blossom from the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  There are small basic rhinestones in the center.  The sentiment is from Apothecary Art and was stamped on Whisper White, then layered on Lucky Limeade.  The ink is Calypso Coral.

Fresh Cuts with Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch

This set, Fresh Cuts, will be retiring at the end of the month.

I made the card base with the Scallop Square Bigz Die.  Just fold the cardstock in half and make sure the fold is below the outside edge when you run it through the Big Shot.  That way the fold doesn't get cut, leaving you a scallop square card base.

I stamped the image from Fresh Cuts and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to add a flower made with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  There is a So Saffron flower brad in the center of the flower.

This is what the card looks like without the flower brad.  It's cute, but I think the brad adds that nice little extra pop.   I attached the flower with SNAIL rather than Stampin' Dimensionals so it is flat against the card.

Sense of Time Tri-fold Shutter Card

I needed an extra special card for a big birthday today.   I chose Sense of Time as the main stamp set.  I changed the tri-fold shutter card a little bit by making the front solid.

Here's the card standing up -- notice how the folds alternate between valley and mountain folds and how the middle fold is opposite of the top and bottom where they are aligned. 

I used More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Really Rust on this card, along with the retired Juntos Designer Series Paper.  I used my aqua pen and watercolor crayons to give the clock an antiqued look.  The following photo shows the card closed.

This card is loaded with embellishments.  I used Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware, circle brads, silver brads and twill tape on the front and Always Artichoke brads in the middle of the card.  Assorted punches were also used -- several circles, the ticket corner punch and the blossom bouquet triple layer punch (the flames on the candles).

Birthday Greetings (on the twill tape) came from On Your Birthday.  Make a Wish came from Mini Mates and The More Candles the Bigger the Wish stamp is from Whimsical Words.  The 5 and the 0 came from Alphadot Numbers.  But, you could use any small stamp in those spots.  All of the other stamps are from Sense of Time.
