Happy Halloween!

Hope you all have a fun Halloween!

Here's a mini card I made.  It's only 3" x 4".  The ghost is made with the Owl Punch.  The message comes from Tags 4 You and was punched with the Label Bracket Punch.

I also used the same little ghost to make a treat by attaching it to a Reese's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup (those things are SO good!).  I made almost 30 of them, including a bunch for my stamp club stampers.

Halloween Treat Cup Card

Here's a Halloween card we made in club.  The stamp and the punch are from the Tags 4 You bundle.  The treat cup is filled with Reese's Pieces (yum!).  The stem is hand cut.

We made this little trap door so the recipient can get the candy out without ruining the card.
Here's the card with the door removed.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Happy Stampin', Sue

TSSC 285 - Fall Card

Here's my card for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge:
The leaves are from Best of Autumn.  I am really loving that set.  The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from Tags 4 You (which is available in a bundle with the coordinating punch).  I like that with one set you can cover 4 holidays.  The corners were rounded with the Envelope Punch Board, which gave me a different radius on the edges than if I had used the Corner Rounder Punch.

Cardstock:  Naturals Ivory, Chocolate Chip
Ink Colors:  Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze

Here is the sketch:
I needed a masculine Thinking of You card right after I made my sketch challenge card.  I realized that the card I'd just made would be perfect.  So, I re-did it and just changed the sentiment.
Hope you'll play along this week.  You can see the sketch (and design team samples) and link your sample here.

Halloween Broom Treat

I've seen lots of brooms done in many ways, but this is my take on this fun Halloween treat idea.
The top is made with the Tags 4 You bundle (stamp set and punch).  Basic Black ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

The broom bristles are made with a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock that I sponged with Soft Suede ink.  At about 1/8" or so intervals, cut along the long side of the strip to about 1/4" from the top (so that it all stays together).  Roll it around the sucker stick, adhering periodically with Sticky Strip.  Run a line of Tombo glue around the top of the Crushed Curry (where it's solid) and wrap with Linen Thread.

The size of the Crushed Curry cardstock will vary depending on what type of sucker is underneath.  This one has a Tootsie Pop and the strip was 6" x 2 1/4".

Turkey Card - Tags 4 You

Isn't this Turkey Card just the cutest thing?  We'll be making it in the class next week and we'd love to have you join us.  Tues. 10/22 at 6:30pm and Wed. 10/23 at 10:00am  You can see full details about the class here.

The sentiment is from Tags 4 You.  I bought it in the bundle (clear - 133294, wood - 133293)  with the Label Bracket punch and saved 15%.  It was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink.

The strip of cardstock under the turkey is Early Espresso Core'dinations that I sanded to look like dirt.  There are some packs of Core'dinations cardstock on the Clearance Rack, so be sure to check that out.  There are some great deals, but only available while supplies last.

The turkey was made with the Owl Punch, the Autumn Accents die, and the Boho Blossoms Punch.  Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Regals Paper Stack (the retired pack, but the current one also has polka dots).  Cardstock is Chocolate Chip, More Mustard (sadly, retired - but if you need some I can hook you up), Cajun Craze, Whisper White, and Basic Black.

Although I changed my card and even how I made the turkey, the original inspiration and directions came from Dawn Olchefske.  She said that she got the idea from Connie Plaumann.  Thanks, ladies!

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Remember, you can make this card (and two others) in class next week.  Be sure to RSVP by Sunday night if you plan to come.
