Disney - Mickey and Minnie Punch Art Card

I needed a thank you card for some people who love everything Disney.  I found this adorable card made by Sara-Jane at Cards and a Cuppa and had to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it.

The layers are a little different and my card must be a little smaller (based on the amount of white space around Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse), but otherwise it's pretty much the same.  I believe my card was 6" x 4 1/4" (but that's from memory, since the card's already been sent and I didn't write it down).  Basically, I used one 1 3/4" circle and two 1" circles per mouse.  Minnie's bow was made with one 1/2" circle and two petals from the Five Petal Flower Punch (which, unfortunately, is retired).  Sara-Jane has more details if you want them.

The ribbon is also retired, but I agree with Sara-Jane's assessment that it is just perfect for Disney.  If you don't have it, you could probably substitute Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

Delightful Dozen Mother's Day Card

One of the reasons I haven't posted in a while is because I was away on our annual Mother's Day trip that my mom, sister and I do.  It was our 7th one this year and every one has been great!

Here's the card I made for my mom for Mother's Day this year.  Even though the trip wasn't until June she did get the card on the right day.

I made the rosette using the Designer Rosette die.  The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.  The background was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The flower and leaves in the center of the rosette were made with the retired 5 Petal Flower punch.  The center of the flower was done with the Boho Blossoms punch, the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a designer pearl.

Triple Treat Cards

Hi!  I have three cards to share with you today -- all using the retiring Triple Treat stamp and the same color scheme.  I also used the corner rounder on the top and bottom cards.

This card uses two more retiring products:  the 5 Petal Flower punch and Sincere Salutations stamp set.

 Again, the retiring 5 Petal Flower punch.  Also, the stamp set Blessings From Heaven, the Fancy Flower punch, and a circle punch for the center of the flower.

 This card uses a ribbon that has already retired, but there is another Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon available (I think the only difference is that the current ribbon doesn't have the white along the edges).  Thinking of You comes from the retiring Sincere Salutations.

Triple Treat Card

This card uses the Triple Treat stamp (available FREE through midnight tonight as a Sale-A-Bration freebie or for purchase from the big catalog), the fancy flower punch, the five petal flower punch (the leaves), the scallop oval and large oval punches, the itty bitty shapes punch pack and the cropodile (in the corners), and the ticket corner punch.  The sentiment is from the retired set Because I Care.

Mixed Bunch Cards

I made this card using Mixed Bunch and the coordinating Blossom Punch.  I really like the strip from the Tasteful Trim die behind the flower.  It just gives the card a little extra something.

  

I actually made the above card back in January but am just getting it posted now.  A few weeks after I made the card above, I made the card below for a color challenge.  The funny thing is, I didn't even remember the first card until I was putting out samples at my next event.   Guess I just really like this layout :)

Anyhow, you can see how the same layout can have a totally different look and feel just by changing the colors.

Punch Flowers

This is one of the items we made at the May Stamp Club.  We also learned how to do the Embossed Reinker Spread technique and made a card using that technique.

The flowers on this card are made using the following Stampin Up punches:   five petal flower punch, the heart to heart punch and the trio flower punch.

Flower Frenzy Stamp Camp Part 2

Before I get to the projects, I want to take a minute to let you know that the world lost a very special woman last night.  Barbara Holbrook was gracious and kind.  She was my Bunko buddy and a sister in Christ.  She will be missed by all who knew her and it just seemed appropriate to take a minute to remember her.

I promised yesterday that I'd post the rest of the stamp camp projects, so here they are.  The picture isn't the greatest (and even one of the cards wasn't attached and ended up sliding), but it's here as promised.  We'll make all eight of these projects (the 5 today and 3 from yesterday) Saturday afternoon.  You can still register through tomorrow.

I've seen the punch rose and scrunchy flower lots of places, but the ideas originally came to me via Chera Wiest (rose) and Ilina Crouse (scrunchy flower).   The others are my own creations.  I love using the five petal flower punch for different types of flowers and for leaves.  It's a much more versatile punch than it seems at first.

Flower Frenzy Stamp Camp

Here are three of the projects we'll make at Saturday's stamp camp.  Two of the cards are my own creations, but I CASED the flower pot card.  I actually used ideas from two different cards, created by two different Stampin' Up demonstrators:  Lisa Trombitas and Stephanie Luman.

It's hard to see, but the white background is embossed with a flowered texture plate. Sorry about the poor picture quality (all of the photos, but especially this one). It's much more crisp in real life (you can kind of see it in the top picture). Do you know what stamp set I used on this?

This is another option for decorating your box. I'll have another by the time class rolls around. That way, you can tailor the box to your needs. You can't see it in the picture at the top of the post, but there are hearts stamped all over the Valentine box. I used VersaMark for a tone on tone effect.
