Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you have an amazing Mother's Day!

I have two cards to share with you today.  Each uses the Stampin' Up stamp set, Amazing Family.
Colors:  Whisper White, Not Quite Navy (retiring), Regal Rose (retiring), Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight.

Border was punched with the scallop trim border punch.

Close up of the layered Quintessential Flower (retiring).  I actually could have done one more, but I kept this one at 4 layers.

I stamped the first flower directly on the card.  Punched the Regal Rose flower with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.  Then used the 1" Circle Punch (Wild Wasabi) and 1/2" Circle Punch (Daffodil Delight).  I topped it with a Basic Pearl.
Inside of the card (Delightful Dozen, retiring, and Something to Celebrate, retired)

The second card:
Colors:  Whisper White, Not Quite Navy (retiring), Lucky Limeade (retiring), Daffodil Delight
Big Shot (Border):  Delicate Designs Embossing Folders
Ribbon:  1/8" Stitched Taffeta Ribbon (Daffodil Delight, retiring)
Punches: 7/8" Scallop Circle, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle, 1/2" Circle, 3/4" Circle, Corner Rounder

Embossed Gossamer Lace

When I first saw the Gossamer Lace stamp in the Stampin' Up catalog, I immediately thought of it embossed in white.  We made this first card in our August Stamp Club class.   It is dry embossed on the side with one of the folders from the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders.  The white strip is punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and two of the corners are rounded with the Corner Rounder Punch.

This second card is a variation which uses the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and the Tasteful Trims Die, along with the embossed Gossamer Lace and Corner Rounder Punch.

As I mentioned, we made the first card in Stamp Club.  These classes are open to all for a fee, but they are FREE to stamp club members.  A new round of stamp club is forming now (starts Sept. 25).  Check out the details here and then contact me to join!

Not sure you're ready to commit?  Take the class for only $10 (or $5 with minimum purchase).  I also have a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on Sept. 12.  Pre-registration is required, but because of the drop-in nature of the class I can accommodate more than usual.  Details are on the Classes/Events Page.  Hope to see you at one or both!

Need a little more encouragement?  Members made ALL THESE PROJECTS in the last four month round of stamp club for FREE!  The Classes/Events page lists some of the techniques and other things members learned.

Reason To Smile - July Club

We made these two projects at stamp club last night.  We also made another card that I will post tomorrow.  The first was made with the candy wrapper die and the second is a card.  I designed them to coordinate so they can be used together or separately.  Both use the Reason to Smile stamp set, which you can get during July for $5 with a $50 purchase.
I am having so much fun with this candy wrapper die!  The twist to close the top is a little tricky at first, but once you do it a few times, it's very easy.

The flowers on the card were stamped on Vellum using StazOn and then the color was applied to the back using a sponge dauber.  This is a great way to make embellishments for your cards or other paper crafting projects.  The embossing on the Daffodil Delight was done with one of the new Delicate Designs Embossing Folders (it's a two pack).  The sentiment came from Friendly Phrases.  In class we stamped it with Melon Mambo ink to make it easier to read.

Hope you enjoyed today's share.  This same class will be offered again on Wednesday, July 25th, at 10:00am.  Contact me to register and you can make these projects yourself.  You can see details on the Classes/Events page.  Hope you can come!
