Colorful Seasons Fall Card

Here's another card featuring beautiful, colorful leaves. This time the leaves are stamped instead of die cut. The stripe across the front is cardstock that has been scored along every line on the Simply Scored. The lighter colored leaves were created by stamping off, which basically means stamping a second time before re-inking.

Here's the inside of the card:

 Supplies:
Stamps: Colorful Seasons
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Big Shot: Layering Circle Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits
Tool: Simply Scored

Order a gift for a friend - or multiple friends - and your Christmas to-do list just got shorter. With free shipping, if they live far away, you can just send it directly to their house.

A card kit is a great gift for a new stamper. They're also great to have on hand if you need a card in a hurry.

Is there something you've been wanting to try? The new Stampin' Blends markers or an embellishment, maybe? Go for it.

The Clearance Rack is full of great deals and with no shipping some of that stuff's a steal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are two catalogs full of ideas.

Order online using hostess code MNVA2YN7 (for orders under $150; over $150, collect your own hostess benefits) or send me your order by 9:00pm if you want to be part of the group order. Either way, get a free gift from me as a thank you. Sale ends 11:59pm MT

Thank you so much for reading my blog. As a reward for making it the whole way to here, I have a card to share with you today.

I used the Baby Bear stamp set and Labeler alphabet. Yes, the cute little bow is part of the Baby Bear set. I believe the ivy is from a retired set but I know there are current sets with something that would work.

Remember, you can get the supplies for this card and anything else you want with free shipping today.

NC Stampin' Up Demos November Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's North Carolina Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Anything Christmas or Hanukkah. I'm sure you'll get lots of great ideas as you travel through the blogs this month.

My card is a Christmas card, but by changing out the sentiment it could be a Hanukkah card, a general Seasons Greetings card, or appropriate for any winter occasion.

I used the Swirly Snowflakes die and my Big Shot to create the beautiful snowflake border. One of the dies cut the border with the tiny holes and another cut the snowflakes. Another die makes a row of tiny holes like the ones on the border. Some of the stampers ran that along the white strip to the left of the snowflakes. It was pretty both ways. Swirly Snowflakes is part of the  Snowflake Sentiments bundle.

The sentiment is from the stamp set, Nature Sings, and was cut out using the Layering Ovals framelits. The Pool Party scalloped oval that is layered behind the sentiment was cut using the same set of framelits. The pretty snowflake paper is from the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.

Today is the last day of the Online Extravaganza sale. Huge savings!

Tomorrow is free shipping from Stampin' Up!

If you order online, today or tomorrow, please use hostess code MNVA2YN7 and receive a thank you gift from me.

Thanks for stopping by. Next stop on the blog hop is Sue Stapp.

Colorful Seasons Fall Card

Flash Sale on Monday, 11/27/17 (midnight to 11:59pm, MT). FREE SHIPPING on your whole order! Everything included, no limits. Please use hostess code MNVA2YN7.

I love Fall cards with colorful leaves and this one is no exception. The leaves were die cut with the Seasonal Layers Framelits, which are part of the Colorful Seasons bundle and the background was embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Both techniques require the Big Shot.

The pennant was hand cut and then stamped with words from Thoughtful Banners. I chose this saying because I was making the card for someone specific and this is the message I wanted for her. When we made this card in club, most of the stampers chose sayings related to the season. Stampin' Up! has lots of great sets with sayings, so there are plenty of options.

The Gold Satin Ribbon was on the Clearance List when this was a club project. It appears to be gone now. I think the Burlap Ribbon would look good in it's place. It would give it a more rustic feel.

To shape the leaves, I folded them in half from left to right and then folded them back and forth from top to bottom, like a fan. After I opened them, I re-folded any lines that were not creased enough. You can also use your bone folder to create the "veins" of the leaves. If you use the bone folder, it will look more precise than my method.

Remember, FREE shipping on Monday, 11/27/17, so it's the perfect time to get the supplies to make this card.

Stamparatus Is Here

Some of you know that I was selected to be part of the Leader to Leader (L2L) program which was actively developing a new product for Stampin' Up! Well, that project is now ready to unveil. Our project is the Stamparatus, a stamp positioning tool. I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on it!

This tool will be great to help you position your two step stamping easily and accurately, eliminating waste and frustration. And imagine the time savings when doing multiples of the same project.

Check out the video to find out more.

So, how do you get one? Funny you should ask. Stampin' Up! is trying something new to get these out as efficiently as possible. Beginning 11/16/17 (Thursday) at 4:00pm, you can reserve a Stamparatus which will be available in early February.

The details as I understand them are as follows:

1) You must have an online account. If you don't have one, just click Create Account at the online store. Be sure to select me as your demonstrator.

2) Between
November 16–30, 2017, reserve your Stamparatus. There will be a Stamparatus page. Go there and you'll see what to click to make the reservation.

3)
Reservation quantities are while supplies last. This is to avoid backorders in February. I suggest if you want this, that you make your reservation on 11/16/17 (or as soon as you see this email).

4) If you miss out on this reservation period, there will be another one in December, to be available in mid March.

5) You have to enter your credit card number, but you won't be charged until you finalize the order when it is available in February. At that time, you will be able to order as normal, using a hostess code and taking advantage of any promotions.

6) Price is only $49. That means you'll almost have enough to qualify for a free Sale-a-Bration item. You can only reserve 1.

Let me know in the comments what you think about the Stamparatus. That's also a good place to leave any questions. Or, you can always contact me at the email address in the header.

High Tide Lighthouse

I was lucky enough to spend the past weekend at the beach with the awesome Youth Group from our church. The weather was beautiful and even though the water was pretty cold, the youth and at least two of the counselors went for a swim. We didn't have a lighthouse near us but I saw the photo of this beach-y card on my phone and thought I'd post it in honor of my great weekend.

The Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine is retired but there are some other colors of baker's twine you could substitute or maybe the Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon.

Hope your weekend was as good, or even better, than mine!

Metallic Dragonfly

This card came from the Demo event I went to in September. Each table was given a box full of assorted supplies and we were challenged to make a card using only items in the box. This is what I made.

I love all the shiny metallic items currently available from Stampin' Up! This card has Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper (DSP) as well as Copper and Champagne Foil Sheets. Check out the online store (when you get to my site, click Shop Now; if you order, please use hostess code MNVA2YN7; thank you) for even more metallic fun - other DSPs, more colors of Foil Sheets, Washi Tape...

The dragonfly was cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and Big Shot. As I said, everything was already done and in the bag so I don't know which stamp set the sentiment came from. I like it so I should find out. Anyone know? If so, please leave a comment to let me know. Thanks.

Do you have a bunch of scraps and random pieces laying around? Why don't you give this challenge a try and see what you come up with?
