Sprinkles of Life Pop Up Card

Here are two variations of a pop-up card made with the tree builder punch. We made the first card, which uses the tree builder punch and the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, in club a while ago. Sprinkles of Life is this year's Ronald McDonald House stamp set, so a portion of the sales goes to help that worthy cause.

Sorry this next picture is a little blurry. I think that's part of why it took me so long to post these cards. I was hoping to get a better picture. But that card is gone now, so it's not happening unless I make another. This card is made with the tree builder punch and embossing folders.

Wahoo! Cards

Stampin' Up! challenged us to use Paper Pumpkin stamps to create something. I made two cards using the stamps from the September 2013 Paper Pumpkin kits.
The first one uses the two stamps from the kit along with some Moonlight DSP, Blackberry Bliss card stock, and Hello Honey card stock. I used the Big Shot to emboss the background card stock with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. The ink is Blackberry Bliss.
The second card uses just one stamp from the kit and a stamp from the hostess set, Life's Adventure. Ink used is Blackberry Bliss and Basic Gray. Card stock is Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White.

As you can see, the Paper Pumpkin stamps aren't limited to the projects in the kit. You can continue to use them long after the projects have been made.

You can order your own Paper Pumpkin subscription here so you don't miss out on getting these exclusive stamps (hostess code HPKY926A). Please ask if you have any questions.

TSSC 321 - Something for Baby

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It features the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Something for Baby, and the coordinating Baby's First Framelits.
Does this look a little familiar? I knew I had used this stamp set and framelits in a previous TSSC challenge, but I didn't realize how many of the same supplies I'd used until I uploaded this one to the computer. I needed a card for an upcoming shower and so I was focused on that. At least now I've got the card I need (and the other one for the next shower I get invited to). Just for kicks, you can see the other card here.

Supply list:
Stamps: Something for Baby, Cuddles and Kisses
Card stock: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Moonlight Designer Paper Stack
Ink: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon
Big Shot: Baby's First Framelits, Circles Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
 Here's this week's sketch.

And here's the way I finished the inside. It's not overly fancy, but I think the booties are a cute touch. The sayings are from Cuddles and Kisses, which unfortunately is retired.

You're Lovely Bookmark Card

BLOG CANDY:  Win Reason to Smile by interacting on my social media.  See details here.  No limit to the number of entries!

Stamp Club met Tuesday night and Wednesday morning this week.  As always, we had a great time!  If you are in the Garner/Southern Wake County area of North Carolina, you should join us for a class sometime.  We'd love to meet you!

When we made bookmarks at my recent Open House, one of the stampers asked if we could make a card with a removable bookmark.  This is what I designed.  It was the first of three projects we made.

Shown below is the bookmark.  In class I recommended to stamp lightly so that the Primrose Petals was not quite as dark as on my bookmark.  That way more of the flower stamp showed.

Supplies:

Stamps:  Happy Watercolor, You're Lovely (FREE during Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock:  Primrose Petals, Midnights Muse, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green
Big Shot:  Deco Labels Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (FREE during SAB)
Other:  Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (on Weekly Deals list through 3/3), Corner Rounder Punch

I picked these colors for the class projects because many of the stampers took advantage of the My Paper Pumpkin (MPP) Promotion and got this In Color set of markers for FREE.  The MPP promotion ends March 31, 2014.  When you sign up, please select me (Sue Root, Raleigh, NC) as your demonstrator.  Thank you!
