Happy Memorial Day!

This is the 150th anniversary of Memorial Day, which originally started out as Decoration Day. I am so grateful for the men and women who have fought to protect our country and preserve our freedom. Thank you!

This card features the patriotic set For Your Country. You can use this set to make cards for soldiers or soldiers' families, Memorial Day cards, 4th of July cards, and other patriotic projects. But those boots would also be great for masculine or construction projects. I'm sure there are other ideas.The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is Go Wild, which is also retiring.

Retired products are only available through tomorrow, 5/31, or while supplies last. For Your Country is only available in wood mount as the clear has already sold out.

I love this Stampin' Up! set, For Your Country. All of the stamps on these cards are from that set. Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, and Basic Black. Ink: Old Olive and Basic Black. The background was embossed using the Big Shot and Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder.

Cardstock: Whisper White and Old Olive. Ink: Old Olive, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, and Basic Black.

 Naturals Ivory cardstock (retiring) looks great with this set. You might want to stock up before it's gone. Here are all the stamps in the set:

Happy 4th of July - For Your Country

If you haven't made your Independence Day cards yet, there's still time...barely. We made card this in our last Stamp Club.

You can send this card to anyone you want to wish them a Happy 4th of July. However, I finished off the inside with a couple other stamps from the For Your Country set - Godspeed and Thank You. I thought it would be nice to send it to a soldier currently serving our country. I also added some Real Red and Night of Navy stars that I punched out with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Sponge Daubers

This variation was made by one of my customers, Alyce Anthony. She used the sponge daubers to make little circles instead of sponging like I did. Isn't it cute?
