Record Album Flip Card - Classic Rock

I thought this card was so clever when I saw it on Pinterest. It is cased from Michelle Reynolds. We made it in one of my classes.

 Sadly, the Circle Card Thinlits Die is retiring. Happily, it is discounted and still available (but only while supplies last or through 5/31/16, whichever comes first). The Designer Series Paper (DSP), It's My Party, is also retiring. I chose this design to coordinate with the chevrons which come in the die set. The stamp is from Bombs Away.

Here's the card standing and partially open so you can see as the circle starts to flip.

 The card pulls open and is laying flat here. The Happy Birthday is from Sky Is the Limit. That set is no longer available, but if you want it, I can hook you up with one.

Don't forget to get the retiring items before they are gone. These circle flip cards are so cool and very easy with this great die. Other dies come in the set as you can see in this picture.

The Sky Is The Limit!

Here is one of the cards we'll be making at the upcoming classes on 1/26 and 1/30. It features two products you can get for free during Sale-a-Bration (SAB): Sky Is The Limit Stamp Set and Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. Both are only available until February 15, so don't delay in getting them. The ribbon is Crumb Cake 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Here is a variation of the card. I created the background using an assortment of stamps, including ones from Timeless Textures.

 

This is the first version of this card that I made. The plane is stamped directly on the DSP (as opposed to cut out and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals as on the other two). It's good for when you need a quick card, but if you have the time, it's worth the extra effort to pop up the plane.

This stamp set is great for masculine cards. Although I think men or women would enjoy cards made with this set, I point this out because (for me at least) it is sometimes harder to come up with ideas for manly cards.
