Stamp Club - Telescoping Snowman

I'm blessed to have two wonderful Stamp Club groups.  One met Tuesday evening and the other met yesterday.  One of the projects we made was a telescoping snowman.

ON SALE:  CIRCLES FRAMELITS
During the Holiday Sale (11/20-12/2, 2013) the Circle Framelits (130911) are 25% off!! Now only $20.21!  Obviously they were a huge help (pretty much necessary) with this project.

Look how cute this snowman head is:

But check this out - it opens up to make a full snowman!  And, with the Baker's Twine at the top, the recipient can hang it as a decoration or an ornament.

Some people put a Christmas message on the front, but most added another white circle to the back of the Night of Navy (bottom) circle and put their message there.  Someone even suggested using a to/from stamp and making a super cute gift tag.  The other circles are Soft Sky and Marina Mist.  There are 10 circles in the Circles Framelits collection (if I counted right), so you can make snowmen in lots of different sizes.

The eyes, mouth and buttons are Basic Black cardstock that was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and then punched with the circle parts of the Owl Punch.  The embossing was to give the "coal" some texture.  The nose was cut freehand from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I added a few lines with a Pumpkin Pie marker to make it look more like a carrot.

I'm not sure how well you can see it in the pictures, but we spritzed the Whisper White circles to make them sparkly.  To make the spray we used:  fill a Stampin' Spritzer with rubbing alcohol and Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Be sure to shake well before using!

These are the Wednesday stamp club ladies having fun working on their projects.  They are actually working on a different card that I will post after the Holiday Sale is over.  We have lots of fun in this group (and in the other one) and would love to have you join us!
