This has been hanging on my wall for a couple of weeks now and I finally remembered to take a picture so I can post it. Unfortunately, the lighting isn't that good. It's much brighter and cheerier in person. Just to give you an idea -- the rosette is Pretty in Pink and the big, scalloped heart is Regal Rose.
The Pretty in Pink rosette was cut out of the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack - Subtles, using the Designer Rosette Die. The die has 2 different edges to add to its versatility. Plus, it does all the scoring! The rosette in this project only uses about 2/3 the width of the strip cut by the die. The die can actually make even bigger rosettes. The part that was left over I used to make a smaller rosette (to use on a different project).
The hearts were all cut with the Hearts Framelits. The center heart was stamped with a stamp from Fresh Vintage and the smaller hearts were stamped using Take It To Heart. I sponged around the edges of the hearts in the center and then added a hat pin with a couple of beads. The pin and the beads are from the retired Pretties Kit, but similar hat pins are available in the Occasions Mini Catalog (Yeah Stampin' Up for bringing those back!). I tied a couple pieces of 1/2" Stitched-Poly ribbon (Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride)around the hat pin, added some Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain to the back for hanging the project and I was done.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Stop back tomorrow to see another Valentine decoration.

this is so lovely. What a welcome site when someone comes to visit if you hung it on your front door. Beautiful work, Sue.

This is so pretty, Sue! Finally - an adorable idea to use my Designer Rosette die! (Which I HAD to have, but haven't actually used yet...) :D
