Don't forget about the card making event we will be having at St. Andrews UMC on Wednesday, 9/30, at 6:30pm. We will make cards to send to military personnel -- cards to thank them for their service and also cards to send to them that they can then send to their loved ones.
If you have questions, contact me and I'll be happy to provide details (either leave a comment or click on View my complete profile for my e-mail).
Also, scroll down a bit (under the wreath card posting) to see the October class offerings and Christmas card kit that I have available. I'd love to hear from you about them.

Wreath Card
The quality of the photo is terrible, but here is the wreath card I made with the leftovers from cutting the lattice die. The green pieces are the lattice die scraps. The berries were just cut with my Crop-o-dile (the larger hole). The ribbon is 1/4" Bravo Burgundy grosgrain. I texturized the background with my Big Shot to give the appearance of wood grain. At the bottom, the word window is layered on the modern label. The Merry Christmas stamp came from Teeny, Tiny Wishes.
The lattice die scraps can be used for all kinds of things. I've made flowers and butterflies. I punched a hole in several pieces of the other shape and made a garland for a card. Let your imagination run free. Scroll down a couple posts to see card ideas using the lattice die.

Christmas Card Kit and New Class Offerings
In this post you'll find information about the Christmas Card Kit, Ornament Punch class (you won't believe all the things this punch can be used for), Fall Fun class and the Mother/Child class. Please note that these offerings have a response date, so please make sure to let me know soon.
CHRISTMAS CARD KIT
FALL FUN CLASS
We will make fun, fall projects (a card using the new circle treat cups available in the Holiday Mini Catalog -- that's candy in that pumpkin, a little pumpkin basket and a spider treat -- plus a variation on this). I'll also have a few other ideas for using the treat cups and teach you a way to get the candy out without having to destroy your card. Thursday, Oct. 1, 10:00am and 7:00 pm. Cost: $7 (free for stamp club members). Please RSVP by Sept. 28.
If you would like more than one treat card (maybe you have more than one child you'd like to give them to), you can make additional ones the day of the class for $2.00 each. I also have a spider design if you don't want them all the same).
ORNAMENT PUNCH CLASS
Think an ornament punch is limited in its use? Think again. Yes, I'll show you lots of ideas for ornament cards. But also, you will see at least 8 different ways to use the new ornament punch. How about a fish? Or a flower? Although we won't use all of the ideas in the projects we make (we will use some, as in the acorn card shown), I will make sure you know how to create each of the ideas so you can try them at home. Saturday, October 17th at 10:00am Cost: $24 (includes Ornament Punch). Already have the ornament punch? Substitute any other punch (of equal or lesser value). Or, just take the class for $10 (no punch included). RSVP by 10/1 so that the punches can be here in time for the class.
MOTHER/CHILD CLASS (Halloween Treats)
We will make an assortment of Halloween treats, including the spider shown above. These will be fun for your kids to give to their friends -- if they don't eat them first LOL Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30pm. Cost: $10 per pair ($5.00/person). Please RSVP by 10/12.
I will have extra supplies available for purchase for some of the items we make if you would like to cut, punch and stamp extras (to assemble at home).
CHRISTMAS CARD KIT
It's not too early to start thinking about your Christmas cards.
Kit includes the consumable supplies needed to make 12 cards -- 4 each of 3 different designs (or 12 of one design). Cost: $15 Order by October 1.
Save time by letting me do the prep work! Card stock and Designer Series Paper will be cut to size. Santa background will be dry embossed using the Big Shot. That leaves the fun to you: stamp, color, punch and put together.
This kit uses The Jolliest Time of Year stamp set and was designed to use as few extra supplies as possible. This was to help those that have limited supplies. Those of you that have been at it awhile (and have built up your stash), feel free to embelish further with Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Glitter, Micro Beads, Crystal Effects, Embossing Powder or anything else in your aresenal of stamping fun. Card kit comes with all the consumable products (card stock, Designer Series Paper, silver brads and Stampin' Up Whisper White envelopes) to make 4 of each of the 3 cards (for a total of 12 cards). Cost: $15 Orders due Oct. 1 to be ready by 10/19 (possibly earlier depending on Stampin' Up).
Additional suppies used to complete these cards:
Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set ($20.95)
SNAIL adhesive ($6.95)
Basic Black Classic Stamp Pad ($5.95)
Garden Green Classic Stamp Pad ($5.95)
Corner Rounder & Ticket Corner Punches ($6.95 ea.) - you could use the same punch on all of the cards.
Stampin' Write Markers ($3.25 ea.): Basic Black, Real Red, Close to Cocoa, Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow and Garden Green
Instead of markers, you could use colored pencils to color the cards.
Also, you can get a full set (12 cards) of only one design. You might do this if you would like to further minimize the additional supplies used (Santa only used 1 ink pad, 2 markers and the ticket corner punch), you want to send the same card to everyone on your list or you really love one of the designs more than the others.
If you have questions about supplies or alternate techniques, give me a call. I listed what I used to complete the cards. You may have other ideas (or supplies).
Purchase the card kit and The Jolliest Time of Year and, if you'd like, you can join me for free on Oct. 19th to make your cards (time to be announced based on participants schedules). At that time you can use my ink, markers and punches. Or, if you don't want to buy the stamps, you can make your cards on that date for an extra $5 (in addition to the $15 for the card kit).

If you're doing the punch class, too, would you like to assemble the Christmas card kit right after the class? It would save travel time. Let me know what you think.
Of course, you can also purchase more than one card kit if you need more than 12 cards. If you are not local, shipping will be extra (but only the actual amount postage costs me).

HALLOWEEN TREATS
If you would like unique Halloween treats for your child to take to classmates, I can help. For a fee, I can make these treats or I can prepare the supplies and you and your child can assemble them. Or, come to the Mother/Child class and learn to make them yourself.
GENERAL NOTES: Please remember to bring your basic tool kit to each class (except the Mother/Child classes). If you don't have a kit yet, at least bring adhesive. I'll be happy to order adhesive for you if you need it. I will be ordering supplies the night of October 1, so please be sure to RSVP on time.
CARDS FOR THE TROOPS: Wednesday, 9/30, at 6:30pm we will be making cards at St. Andrews UMC to send to the troops. We'd love to have you come help.
I will announce class locations closer to the date of each class. If you wish to take a class, but the time will not work for you, let me know. If there's enough interest, I can schedule another session.
If you have any questions, about the classes, products or anything else stamping related, please contact me. I'm here to help. Looking forward to seeing you at one or more events!

Lattice Die cards
Here are some samples I had out at the Lattice Die class. I was asked to upload these so that those at the class could CASE (copy and steal -- or share -- everything) them. Please keep in mind, I'm a much better card maker than photographer :)
This is similar to one of the cards we made in class. I just wanted to show you how you could put a sentiment across the front. This one came from Razzle Dazzle.
This card just has the big stamp from Fresh Cuts behind the lattice cut out. This is exactly how the lattice comes out of the Big Shot and the stamp fits perfectly. The bottom is just two strips of cardstock, layered with punch outs from the Designer Label and a circle (I think 1") punch.

The pointsettia is made with two sections cut out from the lattice and attached with a rhinestone brad. It is hangs freely inside the frame left by cutting out the lattice. It was CASEd from someone in my Late Night Stampers group.
This uses the frame left after running the die through the Big Shot. When planning to use the frame, it is a good idea to try to center the die in the middle of the cardstock. All the stamps are from the Razzle Dazzle set.
I just remembered that I was supposed to upload the wreath card, too. It will have to be another day. Be sure to check back.
This card uses the berries from the Fresh Cuts set. I used a scrap frame (left from cutting out lattice with Big Shot) as a mask and stamped multiple times until the area was filled. It is especially important to get into each of the corners. I also sponged around the edges of the card.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the different cards made with the lattice die. We made three other cards, plus a mini card in the class.

Class Using Hostess Sets
This birthday card is just one of the projects we will be making at the Hostess Set class this Thursday. I will also show you how to make a bag-a-lope, which is a way to turn an envelope into a small gift bag. I'm still working on the other projects, but I'm sure you'll like them. There is still room in the 10:00am class. Please contact me to register. A complete listing of September offerings is available after the lattice die post.

September Calendar and My Digital Studio
Here's the September calendar. Hope to see you.
Thursday, Sept. 10 (10:00am or 7:00pm) Come make cards using assorted level 1 hostess sets. This is a chance to try out sets you can't buy -- either to decide what you'd like to earn for free or just to get some variety. Cost: $7.00 This class is free for Stamp Club members. There's still one spot available in the stamp club -- let me know if you'd like it.
Tuesday, Sept. 22 (10:00 am and 7:00 pm) Tri-fold Shutter Class This is a card that will really "Wow." We will make two cards, a more basic one so that you get the idea and then a fancier one. This is a labor intensive card, but worth the effort. Cost: $20 (For those of you that saw my grandma's birthday card: that was a tri-fold shutter card).
Wednesday, Sept. 23 (6:30pm) Mother/Child Class (Punches) Since the kids seem to enjoy the punches so much, we will make projects using them. Cost: $10 per pair
Wednesday, Sept. 30 (6:30pm) Cards for the Troops Come make cards to send to service men and women. If you know any members of the armed services that you would like included, please send me their name(s) and address(es). Free (all cards made are donated)
For all classes: Please bring your basic toolkit (or at least adhesive). I'll let you know the location of each class when you RSVP.
EXCITING NEWS: My Digital Scrapbook available October 1. I gotta admit, I wasn't very excited about this at first, but now that I've seen samples of what it can do -- WOW! I'm getting it. From what I've heard, it's wonderful (and easy) for digital scrapbookers to use. But, apparently, there's so much more you can do with it. You can design cards or scrapbook pages on the computer first so that you don't waste valuable cardstock planning. You can also print off your cards and then embellish. Sounds like you can make calendars. And lots more. I'm getting mine half off with the October hostess special (have a $400 party and get My Digital Studio half off -- plus any item out of the new mini catalog for only $10). I'll have a demonstration once I get it so you can see how cool it is.
New Mini Catalog: The new mini started September 1st. Let me know if you don't have one, but would like to.
Hostess Promotion: Host a $250 (or more) party Sept. - Nov. and get an item from the new mini catalog for only $10! Plus, after My Digital Studio goes live in Oct., a $400 party gets you MDS for 50% off!!
