TSSC 330 - Tap, Tap, Tap

Happy Labor Day! I'd like to say I planned it, but it's just a coincidence that I used the cute set Tap, Tap, Tap for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. It seems appropriate, though, since some of us remember actually using a typewriter at work.
One thing I remember about typewriters is that the letters didn't always come out the same crispness and darkness. That's why I used my old Basic Black ink pad. It's been well used and needs replaced, but I keep it around for projects like this. I think it gives authenticity.

Also, did you notice I punched the word "hi" out of the Designer Series Paper at the bottom? I liked that I was able to match it to the word in the typewriter.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tap, Tap, Tap
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Just Add Cake (retired)
Ink: Basic Black
Punch: Decorative Label
Big Shot: Banner Framelits

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!

You can link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

How many of you remember using typewriters? You can admit it without giving away your age since they hung around into the computer era for things like addressing envelopes and filling out forms. Leave a comment and let me know.

Cute card, I would not have noticed the word hi in the dp though. Sweet idea. This is actually the first I have seen with this set. Great job. Thanks so much for another great sample for my sketch challenge!

Thanks, Mary Jo. The hi was a little bonus as I was lining up the punch. I may go back and highlight it somehow, but on the other hand, it's kind of a fun surprise if anyone notices it.
