Seize the Cake!

This card features a couple of retiring items that you'll want to get before they are gone. Retiring items are available while supplies last, but no later than June 3.

The cake is from Well Worded (clear is regular price, but wood is discounted). Well Worded also has the mustache stamp that coordinates with the mustache framelit die which you may remember. The mustache die is also retiring and is half off - only $3.98! The Tangelo Twist 3/8" Satin Stitched Ribbon is soon to be gone since it too is half off - only $4.48! Sadly, all of these beautiful ribbons, available in the 2014-16 In Colors, are retiring.

The sentiment, seize the cake,  is from the set Something to Say, which is not on the retirment list. Colors used on this card are Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, and Whisper White.

Click here to see a card using the mustache stamp and framelit that I mentioned plus one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Catalog, Guy Greetings.

Retiring Card Kits

I love card kits! For the newer stamper, they are great because you get the supplies you need to make cards without having to figure out what to order and without having a bunch of supplies left over when you're done. For the experienced stamper, they are great for when you need a card in a hurry or when you feel like crafting but don't have that creative vibe going to come up with your own designs.

There are several card kits on the retiring list. One of my favorites is the Everyday Occasions Kit. Everything you need (except adhesive) to make 20 cards for assorted occasions. It even includes 2 Stampin' Spots (mini ink pads) and a 7 piece stamp set! Click the link to see all the cards you can make with this kit.

There are also kits like the Greeting You Simply Created Kit. It has the consumable supplies. You provide your own adhesive and ink and then either write your greeting or get the coordinating stamp set (or use one you already have). This kit and its coordinating stamp set, Hey You (clear mount), are not only on the retirement list - they are discounted! (Note: wood mount is retiring, too, but it's not discounted.)

There are other kits on the retirement list - some half off! - and kits that aren't retiring. Check them out!

And just for fun, here's a video highlighting other ideas for the Greeting You kit. This kit is one that's half off. Why not get one to make cards with and one for other projects?

2015 Retirement List

Retiring Products
As happens every year, I am in shock over some of the items on this year's retirement list. I will need time to process before I comment - and I really need to be getting to work instead of thinking about retiring items (LOL). So, here it is - this year's retirement list. Some items are discounted up to 50% off!

Remember, all items are while supplies last, so if you want something, don't delay in ordering. I will do a group order tonight (let me know by 8:00pm), but your best bet to make sure you don't miss anything is to order online. Hostess code is 2QQZ2DQJ.

Happy shopping. Have fun taking a trip down memory lane as you peruse the list of what's going away.

Head's Up: Stampin' Up! has announced that they will update the Clearance Rack tomorrow. These are items that have retired previously and are now available at a discount. Be sure to order retiring items you want today and then check out the Clearance Rack tomorrow.

And, if that's not enough discounts, there's a new set of weekly deals today.

TSSC 361 - You're My Anchor

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. The chevron is from Work of Art. Even though the anchor and sentiment are from a set called Guy Greetings, I think with this color scheme this card could go to a man or a woman. What do you think?

So, who would you give this card to? Who's your anchor?

Stamps: Guy Greetings, Work of Art
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate

Here's this week's sketch. Use it to inspire you!
You can link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!

TSSC 360 - Feel Goods and Bloom With Hope

Here's my design team sample for this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge.
The background flower is from the hostess set, Bloom With Hope. You can only get it by hosting a party or placing an order large enough to qualify for Stampin' Rewards - or joining stamp club, which gets hostess benefits as a perk. It's a beautiful set with lovely sentiments.

Stamps: Feel Goods, Bloom With Hope (hostess set)
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette

Here's this week's sketch. As you can see, I rotated the sketch for my card. And I repeated the background image several times rather than just using it once.
You can link your project and see the rest of the design team samples at the Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge site. Hope you'll play along this week!
